Works great for quick hikes and is made of high quality materials.Pros:+ It is big enough to hold all your essentials (good daypack)+ I like the suspension system that allows for a bit more airflow between your bag and back+ Good quality (strong, durable fabric, zippers run pretty smoothly)+ Super lightweight! Can barely feel it on my shoulders when it's empty+ Small pockets on the hip belt for easy access to smaller itemsThere is an odd connecting piece between the two shoulder straps. Depending on how this bag sits on your frame, the piece may be a nuisance. Best to try it out and adjust the bag straps until it feels comfortable before going on a long hike for the day.Overall, this bag meets my needs for a lightweight daypack.

I used this pack last week on a four-day adventure in the desert and it was great for the most part. There is a lot of room, and my 2L bladder fits well, and it's lightweight enough to be very comfortable. The shoulder strap placement is adjustable, but I didn't have to change anything right out of the box, and the semi-rigid frame and "airscape" mesh really does a great job at keeping me cool. The pack is big enough to toss in some extra socks, flipflops or water shoes, and a jacket while having enough water to last a long hike. The only thing that bothered me a little is the hip belt. It's not very comfortable, and with a pack this size, there's really no need for a hip belt at all so it just gets in the way. The little pockets are too far back to be easily accessible when you have the pack on, but they are a nice place to put some trail snacks or your phone.Overall, this is a great little day pack for hiking or biking. It's not the cheapest option, but Osprey really backs up their products with the unconditional warranty. You really can't go wrong with any Osprey product.

Osprey does it again! This is an attractive, functional daypack with some key features that I will go over. One of the most important features of this backpack is the fact that it has a frame. Not all day packs do, and having a frame helps distribute the weight as well as hold the bag away from your back. That allows your back to breathe, so you don't end up with a back full of sweat. If you are taking longer hikes, and value your comfort, then this is important. The main compartment in the backpack is large and roomy. If you were going ultralight, you could probably fit enough items in there to last you several days. The official capacity is 22L.There is a hydration sleeve in the main compartment as well as a water bladder clip. My MacBook Air fits in that hydration sleeve, but that is not what it is intended for. A 2L water bladder fits comfortably, and a 3L bladder will fit as well. The incognito inside zippered pocket in the main compartment is also roomy and has the classic osprey clip, which is where I always put my car keys when I'm hiking.I am just going to highlight a few of my favorite features rather than going through everything, which are the top outside zippered pocket which is nice and deep, the loop pulls that are rubberized on each zipper, a stretchy outside pouch for easy access items, side compression ratchets for keeping everything close to your body, belt pockets and two side water bottle holders, each of which can fit a classic one liter Nalgene bottleBasically, this is ‘one day pack to rule them all,’ and although pricey, will last you a lifetime if properly cared for. I am very pleased with this backpack and am looking forward to many adventures with it.

Ok... I've wrestled with this pack for a good long while now. I was nervous as I saw a review that said the fabric connecting the straps to the pack made it uncomfortable, but that hasn't been my experience at all. I think there could be a couple things going on there. But in my experience, it's a perfect Dad pack (I have to carry all the extra stuff for the kids that's too much weight for them on our very long day hikes). To address the straps right off the bat, I think that you need to let the pack sit low enough that it's slightly below your shoulders. Long time backpackers may have trouble with this idea as they are probably used to getting their packs as high as possible to try and get the weight directly above their hips (as much as possible). That's not necessary here. Once the pack is positioned properly, the straps don't touch your neck at all.As to sizing, the pack is plenty big enough for me to take what we call the "pee pee potty," spare bags, my snacks, first aid kit, all the generic emergency (oops we got stuck here for the night) stuff. The bag itself is very light. Essentially negligible. The bag functions like all Osprey bags, flawlessly. The zipper pulls are almost a gross motor movement with the permanent finger loops. The bags are pricey, but they last a very long time under heavy use.The only random thing I recommend is to tack all the straps to your size. If someone else needs to wear it they can cut them easily. When you're wearing it, once you've figured out your sweet spot, you won't have to adjust it anymore.

This backpack has an internal frame that makes it very comfortable on the back. The wide shoulder straps allow the pack to be carried for long periods of time. The fabric, straps, zippers, and loops are all quality materials. Stitching and overall construction is well done. There is plenty of room in the main compartment, and in well-located pouches. Value wise, the pack is very expensive, but it is probably worth it to avid hikers.
