This is an excellent looking A5 sized journal covered with a robust and attractive looking hardcover on it. I’m not a fan of journals with gaudy branding and text on the covers in general, and sadly this one has two golden embossed bits of text in the middle of the front and back. Thankfully they’re very small and aren’t at all obvious from a distance, the front one just says ‘Notes’ and the rear cover has the Yop & Tom name on it. The cover also has a colour matched elasticated strip for keeping it tightly closed when not in use, and there are a pair of coloured fabric bookmarks neatly tucked into the pages.It folds down well and forms a nice surface to write on. It doesn’t quite get to a fully flat 180 degrees without a firm press along the spine but it gets pretty close and after it breaks in a little it'll be more than flat enough for comfortable use. My first impressions of the journal are excellent, there were a couple of very minor marks on the hard cover which are only noticeable in harsh light. I daresay most people wouldn’t have even noticed them, journals are tools that are going to inevitably pick up worse dings and scuffs in normal use.The paper in the journal is enjoyable to write on and while it's not the absolute best paper I've ever used, it's fantastic for the quantity provided and the price point of this product. All of these generic brands of notebooks, journals and planners etc seem to use the same or similar paper in the region of 100gsm, which is an ideal daily paper for most writing implements. The paper can ghost with some inks, like most paper in the 70-100gsm range, but it works just fine for most typical inks. Markers, highlighters and very runny/inky pens will definitely ghost through to the next page and sometimes bleed fully through. This is true of all of these 100gsm paper based books and it's just something you have to deal with unfortunately and I've even had it happen on much more expensive options out there.Something to keep in mind about this particular journal is that it's a fairly basic & bare-bones 190-page book with numbered and lined (7mm margin lines) pages with space for a date/title, there are no name or contents sections included. You can of course make up your own using the blank page at the start of the journal, but if you’re after something with a document pocket and lots of premade organisational bits, this may not be the best option.The price is significantly higher than what I would consider fair for a 190 page 100gsm journal of this size. You can easily find A5 journals with the same or thicker paper, hardcovers and additional inclusions at a 300+ page count for around £10-12. This product doesn’t do anything unique or to a higher standard than the dozens of other brands producing similar products for less money. Ultimately it's a nice looking journal for sure but it doesn’t justify the current price of £14.99 in my opinion, if you’re okay with that price then it’ll serve you well enough.

This book is a must have for people who like to take notes in school college etc. It's nicely designed keeping the needs of students in mind. The quality of paper and paper backing is superb. One qualm is It's priced at 14.99 which I think is over the top for a book.

I got this diary so that I can manage my appointments & important dates. The diary comes in very well packed and is of good quality. Paper is quite thick too. Love the fact that it has plenty of pages and on each page you can record a lot of information. Overall I think this is a brilliant journal. It comes with page numbers at the bottom which are quite handy too. Highly recommended.Hope you find this review helpful.

A little on the pricey side, but the paper and construction are pretty good quality here - the paper is nicely thick enough to prevent running-through onto other pages, and there's an elastic band to keep the covers shut. It's a nice notebook overall.
