These expensive needle-tip soldering tips are almost useless unless you carefully trim off the very tip! But, that's why you buy them in the first place, right? The problem is that the solder will not cling to the tip. It will adhere further up the cone but not where it should at the very tip! Yihua knows this and could easily fix this but they just keep selling these non-performing, cold-solder-joint-causing needle tips anyway! Save your money and avoid these unless you want to customize them like I do and snip the tip.

These have 4.0mm internal diameter and the tips that came with the 995D+ seem to have 4.7mm? So don't buy these for that iron! Consider that #1401 instead.
