I followed the directions on the hat and it came out too small. Its awesome though. I tried to make due but i dont wear often due to headaches. I would return it but it would take so long. Other than its great.

I own five caps from Sterkowski caps. All of them are extremely well made, but this one has received the most compliments from friends and a few strangers. The brown leather bill and the color and texture of the linen go so well together. I let the crown fall to the back. For the first two weeks my wife kept stating how well it suited me. One stranger in a parking lot said it best, "awesome cap"!

It's a fun hat. It has an odd cardboard ring inside to maintain a totally round shape. The cardboard is actually sewn in so you can't remove it, but it's not really a bother or uncomfortable to wear. It does make you less likely to fold or crumple the hat though. It's made of a very light material and works well as another summer hat. As someone that sweats a fair amount, the leather strip sort of in between the brim and rest of the hat will actually help hide any potential wetness or stains, so that's definitely a plus for a very light colored hat.I've gotten strange comments while wearing it. Most commonly I was told "Oh captain, my captain." Though a friend did also tell me that I looked like George RR Martin while wearing it. Though being a large bearded guy sort of carries that possibility.

Love this hat! Now, I admit that the sizing out of the box was a tad large. I did measure my head, I take a 23" (59cm) typically. I also understand that manufacturer sizing is different from company to company & now continent to continent. Always do your research kids. Typically a 59cm is a perfect fit for my head, but these fit closer to a 60cm. Just something to keep in mind in future purchases. I will just order a 58cm. Instead of sending this back all the way to Poland It is an easy fix to use a safety pin to adjust the sizing of the band inside. A little trick I learned from a small cap company in Oregon that does this to micro adjust their hats to fit you perfectly.This is a fantastic daily go to hat for the summer months. The linen breathes beautifully, and the natural color goes with anything from shorts and a t-shirt to jeans & a brown leather jacket. I like Sterkowski's craftsmanship. Very well made caps with a European styling you won't see n this side of the pond. I will be ordering more in the future.
