This is a very cool kids one piece swimsuit from Speedo. The design is nice and is bright and colourful. I didn’t realise until I looked closely that it consists of black bowls of ramen noodles with chopsticks and what looks like Japanese writing (I think!) on the bowls, surrounded by purple, black and pink swirls. It wasn’t immediately obvious because most of the bowls are upside down. Hence the name NeonNoodle! Anyway it makes an attractive pattern but isn’t so garish that only pot noodle lovers would want to wear it. The straps which crossover at the back are bright neon red and it compliments the speedo logo in the front which is the same colour. The fabric is chlorine resistant and provides sun protection to UPF 50+. It’s 80% Nylon & 20% Elastane so has a good amount of stretch. Washing instructions are rinse after use, cold wash 30,do not iron, bleach, tumble dry or dry clean. My daughter has a few swimming costumes and the speedo ones are by far the best in terms of durability and fit. And she loves this design so it’s a solid 5 stars!

As you’d expect from this leading brand, this is a swimsuit manufactured to a very high quality, even with the emphasis on straps for the shoulders and across the shoulder blades. There are no real weak points and I’m confident this swimsuit will take everything that’s thrown at it until it’s been outgrown.At time of writing the product description on this swimsuit shows the design name as “Neonnoodle”, but later on it gives it the rather spectacular name of “Black/Diva/Flash/White/Neon Orchard”- though I’m thinking the latter is a mistake. “Neon noodle” is quite a good name for it though. It’s a moderately bold pattern, more grown-up and sporty rather than girly, yet it’s also quite fun and doesn’t look out of place or over-competitive on a child.As so much of the back is uncovered, extra care will be needed with suncream if out in the sun, as the back seems to be an area my kids forget about. There’s also more danger of getting cold if hanging around a cool pool, and so on, but only within the realm of common sense. The strap arrangement also makes it a little fiddly to put on, if your kids aren’t concentrating.Because of the straps, the child would have to be tall enough for this, otherwise the flappy straps would be annoying- if it’s too large, I’d expect it to be a bit tricky to stitch shorter while the child grows a bit. The high neck at the front should keep it on, but it might hang oddly. So the fit is important.This is a quality suit from a quality brand, and at time of writing the price is fairly reasonable (but not the best value I’ve ever seen). As long as it fits right, it’ll do the job nicely.

This is a really lovely costume, and seems to wear well. The only issue is that the size is on the small side, as is generally the case with Speedo . If you child is wide across the chest and back it does cut into the chest area a bit.
