Superb! Incredibly easy to replace and saves you a packet!Purchased one of these almost 7 years ago and have just purchased another. Bearing in mind the oven is used almost every day, that's a good time frame.Save yourself a load of money buying a new oven or paying for a repair.

It is what it is and has worked perfectly! I just wish it came with new screws as the old ones lost their head when I unscrewed them as they had corroded in so badly! Took me another day to source some 2p screws.

Just reviewing to confirm the tricky bit with this stuff: Right for my appliance?Fits SUK62MFX - as stated, needs two small bolts since fitting has changed very slightly. Requires approaching from rear of the cooker. Chose to drill the earth connector so it fitted firmly to one of the mount bolts.Pretty straightforward. Saved the £80 it cost last time the element died 10+ years ago. (And make sure it's turned off at the mains before mucking about with it!)Cooker dead for less than 24 hrs. Mending things always good.

As the seller clearly states, this element has been modified and does not include the M4 encapsulated screws for fixing, as found on older elements. You will need two M4 x 20mm machine screws/bolts for the fixings along with re-using the old nuts. In addition, it is important to note this new element is also missing the fixed male earthing spade. Some may argue you won't need this due to the metal to metal contact at the fixing plate. However, due to the fact that there is a hole (that should ideally be plugged) in the new element fixing plate where the earth spade is on the old one, I used an additional M4 x 20mm machine screw, M4 nut and a short length of suitable cable to make a new earth bond. Eyelet crimp on one end and a male spade on the other connects straight in to the existing harness earth.
