Item arrived faster than quoted from CYCLE4LESS and even shipped out same day as ordered. It came in the original Shimano box. Install was easy as it was an exact replacement for my other derailleur which means it shifting is smooth and fast, build quality is as expected, and functions just as you would expect from a true Shimano product. Overall if you know what you are doing this can save you a bunch of money doing it yourself so the value is there. Like all true Shimano products I expect it to be durable, but not last forever. The last one for me son lasted about 3 years with some heavy use/abuse since he is a teenager.

I was looking for a medium priced, long cage derailleur for a vintage ‘74 Raleigh Super Course upgrade.Converting the old 10 speed to a 14 speed touring bike. ( with the help of RJthebikeguy YouTube videos) I was a bit concerned about the fitment to the old frame. But it worked out fine. The index shifting is flawless & I have not needed to tweak it after the initial set up.It even works perfectly with the old Huret front derailuer.I’ve put about 100 miles on this derailuer with no issues.
