One side of this device has exposed magnet so if that is the side stuck to the metal object you can pop the rubber right off the magnet trying to pull the tag away. It’s a ridiculously bad design.

This has a pretty powerful magnet. I recently got a magnetic landing pad to attach my towel and a magnetic clip for my glove. I have one towel with a magnet, so I wanted this for when I changed towels. This will do the job. It sticks well to the landing pad, and I am sure it will work well with any magnetic surfaces.The carabiner is of medium strength. The hole the carabiner fits through is just large enough, so if it fails, you will have to find something of a similar size or smaller. It seems like it will hold up at least for a while.The one thing to watch out for is the magnet sticking to something and the rubber case pulling off, leaving the magnet on whatever it is stuck to. This was a two-pack and I sat them side by side. When I came back later to pick them up. the two magnets had stuck together on the open side. Trying to get them apart was really difficult. The rubber covers came off, and I had two powerful magnets stuck together with smooth surfaces. I ended out having to get a pair of gloves with tacky fingers to get them apart. On the landing pad, if you ae not careful and the open side faces the landing pad, the rubber cover will come off and leave the magnet on the landing pad. I took one star away for the issues with pulling the cover off of the magnet so easily. Maybe it needed to be in a fully enclosed cover.In the end, this works very well, you just have to pay a little attention and not leave the magnet behind. Just try to make sure the enclosed side is facing the surface you are putting it on, and you should be ok.

These seem incredibly cheap, and the magnets easily fall out of the holder. If they get close together the magnets will stick together and it is very difficult to get them apart again.

The magnet was strong but Im not crazy about the rubber outside of the clip. Its not as soft as other clips, making it easier to scruff up your clubs. Also the backside of the magnet it exposed, which can also damage your clubs. The clip feels like it has a plastic outer layer. The size was too big for my liking, it over powers the towel but thats not necessarily a con for everyone. Overall, its an okay clip, you wont be disappointed but you wont be amazed either.
