I bought a 3/4 size reel for small stream fishing, was so impressed I got the 7/8 version from my wife for my birthday. Lovely and smooth, great drag. If only the supplier understood the concept of selling spare spools, I’d buy another two 7/8 reels and three spare spools to replace my Vision reels and spools (I’m that impressed!)

Good fun to be had with this simple reel, takes a bit of getting used to but once you adapt to it, it can handle medium sized carp with ease. Suited to close range fishing as casting is an art to be mastered but that's half the fun. I have paired mine with a Korum phase 1 10ft float rod which is more than capable of handling medium sized carp, a brilliant combo !. A word of warning though, take the time to take it apart, clean and grease it properly as I found metal swarf inside which if undetected would have caused serious wear !!. I have loaded the cassette with 100 yds 6lb ( .22mm) line running off the top which aids better control with the fingers. Don't be a "TACKLE TART", get back to basics !!. PS, ( backwinding involved)!. Tight lines !!!
