I wanted to use this for plastic aircraft modelling, super-detailing structures from plastic and brass etc. (if you're a modeller you know the sort of thing) in combination with a small drill press so nothing with .001% precision. The table is way better than I thought though appreciably built to a price. The green painted bits are die cast Myzak or something, with aluminium extrusions for the table. The unit comes pre-assembled other than the handle for the vernier wheels, verniers themselves are printed labels and the handles...yeah, could be better. If you're a proper machinist you'll undoubtedly own tables in the hundreds of quids worth but overall for duffers like me however, this is ideal for light milling or particularly in my case, the ability to drill holes in a straight line. One of the M8 threads in the clamping plate hadn't been cut fully, no issue as I had a tap on hand.

Für den Preis echt super verarbeitet und für mein Einsatzgebiet ideal. Die Verschiebung beim drehen ist sehr langsam, kann man als Vorteil oder Nachteil sehen abhängig vom Einsatzgebiet.

Ordered Wednesday arrived Friday. It was lighter and smaller than I was expecting but the measurements were correct. It is all aluminium. The base plate is rather small so I had a bit of difficulty lining up the 4 slots which are in a rectangular pattern with the 6 slots on my bench drill which are spaced radially at 60 degree angles. Thus its was not possible to fit the centre of the cross slide travel directly under the centre of the chuck. The thread in one of the clamping plates had not been fully made but I soon cured that with an 8 mm tap. The nuts were 14 mm which is not standard so I discarded those and fitted 13 mm nuts to match the nuts I used on the base plate. The base plate slots on the cross slide are for 8 mm bolts but the slots on my bench drill are for much larger bolts so I had to fit repair washers to fit the cross slide base plate to the bench drill. I expect I will drill the bench drill platform to enable the centre of travel of the cross slide to sit directly under the chuck centre. It works ok and I'm happy with it.
