As a professional mechanic I tried different type, these work good and Snap-On's set are made by Mayhew. Buy these, you will be glad you did.

i used to HATE spring clamps till i bought a similar unit ages ago for my intrepid with the 2.7 and the buried hoses with spring clamps everywhere. so much frustration saved since then. this is one of those tools that takes vehicle repair from insurmountable chore to enjoyable hobby. they do wear out over time. my other branded set lasted about 20 years before the cable snapped. otherwise they're very reliable and easy to use once you figure it out. this one is built quite a bit better than my older tool. so hopefully the last one i'll need.
