I wanted to try my hand at knife making and settled on this 10$ piece of 80crv2, Arrived with no warp and the flat stock came pre annealed and made the steel soft enough to work with. If I try my hand at knife making again I would buy this again.

Package says made in China. Could be 80crv2, could be recycled beer cans. Not going waste the effort forging to find out.

Ordered 80CRV2 blank as a test piece to see how the quality would be before ordering more for some knife projects product arrived in a box and wrapped in plastic wrap so I thought that’s a good start but as soon as I opened it I could tell it’s not flat at all the problem I have when steel comes bent is I’m gonna have to hammer it flat possibly putting little dents that will have to be sanded out later resulting in a thinner blade and after heat treat sometimes it will bend back the direction it came bent like memory I guess I’m gonna stick with patriot steel for my knife blank material
