Osprey backpacks are one of the best out there. The packs are lightweight and breathable, which means when it’s strapped to your back, you’re less likely to end up soaked in sweat from the weight and heat of the fabric pressed against your back. We have a larger one for men, but I was keen to get a daypack for me. So what did I think of this one?Color: I went with the mint green/botanical color mix, which isn’t a normal color choice for me, which was why I chose it. I wanted a color that’s easy to spot and while green, the color is just different enough that it won’t blend into the environments I tend to frequent for my walks and hikes. It’s a pale green.Comfort: these are designed for the specific body in mind, so depending on your size, this pack should fit most builds but if you’re taller/broader, you might actually be more comfortable with a different size, so be sure to check the listings before ordering (or find a store that carries Osprey and go try them out). For me, the pack was easy to adjust and once belted on, felt secure with minimal movement. Note: I could have tightened the straps more to keep the pack from moving when I walk, but I’m okay with a bit of movement. It’s also very light.Pockets: Yes! Plenty of compartments/pockets to keep you organized and the main compartment is dual zippered.Overall: I really love Osprey packs. Cost wise, they’re about what I’d normally pay for my packs. Structurally, it’s sturdy. The zippers are strong. It’s water repellent. Comfortable to wear. Definitely recommended.

I got a much larger pack a few years ago from Osprey and it has not only been a staple for camping as well as regular travel , but my Mom keeps borrowing it when she travels, too!This bag is smaller, much better suited for day hiking, but the quality is the same and it has all of the same features that made me fall in love! There are so many micro adjustments for the straps including what angle they come from, and they are genuinely easy to adjust on my own. All of the little pouches and pockets are so well thought out. You can tell this was designed by people who actually use this gear. The airscape padding that keeps airflow moving between me and the bag is such an amazing feature that I don’t think I could ever go back.

Comfortable backpack (for reface, I’m 5’4” medium build), best feature is the airscape suspension. Nothing worse than a sweaty back during and after a long hike. I can fit quite a bit in here- even more than I normally would because I don’t have to account for the weight of the bag since it’s light. Normal pack would have a second pair of sneakers (sz 9 us women) and outfit (I’ve packed light with a tee and shorts, and heavier with a sweater and long cargo pants), extra battery, snacks, wallet, and first aid kit. With all that, there’s still some room to spare, but I don’t tend to over pack my backpacks.The main compartment has a small mesh zip pocket inside that I mainly store my wallet and battery in. There is an elastic pocket/sleeve on the back meant for the water bladder. It’s really a no-fuss backpack when it comes to storage/organization pockets, which I prefer for a backpack of this size. Other than the mesh zip pouch in the main compartment, the other pockets are the two on each side of the pack for water bottles/umbrellas, and the two zippered hip belt pockets.Second favorite feature is the lid lock, which made the tempest my go-to because I love taking my bike with me on a lot of my trips. One feature that I never thought I’d needed was the blinker light attachment, but I always use it! Highly recommend it if looking for a quality backpack that wont need to be replaced every few years.

If you're an avid outdoorsman/woman, then you know the Osprey name holds true to quality and functionality in the outdoor activity space. I currently have and use the Osprey 14 raven which has been great for hikes and bike rides but I wanted something that had a layout more functional for day hikes and the Tempest 11 does not disappoint. First things first, I'm a fairly short female, 5'3", and the first thing that stuck out on this pack is the adjustable frame. I love that I can move the straps up or down to fit me as I need to. The hip pockets are spacious, the interior pocket is spacious and there are well-thought out places for hiking poles, jacket on exterior and bike helmet if you need it. Love how functional it is.

Dieser Rucksack könnte der perfekte kleine Begleiter für Tageswanderungen sein - wenn Osprey nicht an der falschen Stelle gespart hätte. Im Vergleich zu seinem Vorgänger, dem Tempest 9, fehlt die Reissverschlusstasche oben, in der man Kleinigkeiten verstauen kann. Das ist sehr schade, denn die nun verfügbare Tasche ist innenliegend, wodurch man immer 2 Reißverschlüsse öffnen muss, um an die Sonnenbrille oder andere kleine Dinge zu kommen. Ausserdem fehlt dem Rucksack - wie auch schon dem Vorgänger - ein Regencover, das man aber selbst nachrüsten kann. Dafür ist hier die Rückenlänge verstellbar, das war beim Tempest 9 nicht der Fall. Der Tragekomfort ist wie bei allen Osprey-Rucksäcken exzellent, die Seitentaschen für Getränke ausreichend tief und die kleinen Taschen auf dem Hüftgurt sehr praktisch für Taschentücher, Sonnenmilch oder andere Dinge, die man schnell zur Hand haben will. Alles in allem ein großartiger Tagesrucksack, den man mit einer von außen zugänglichen Tasche für diverse Kleinigkeiten und einem Regencover zum perfekten Begleiter machen hätte können.

We’re not in anyway an avid hikers. We’re an occasional hikers and my lady really cannot say enough good things about this backpack.It is quite roomy, she was able to carry an extra pair of shoes, the full water bladder, a first aid kit, extra water bottle, keys, wallet, battery pack, snacks and plenty of room for more. It doesn't have a lot of loose extra straps hanging everywhere and has a nice secure feel. It was very comfortable for her to wear on a long hike that we did last week and she’s overall happy with the quality.She highly recommends this backpack.
