Just a different colour completely to the photos. This is tunnel vision .

I got the medium size 15L bag for use as a dry bag for day adventures kayaking or on the snow. In it I can fit a towel, a down puffy, a snack bag, a first aid kit, and everything that goes in my pocket. 15 liters is much the ideal size for this use case, definitely puff a little extra air in it before folding so it will float. This bag is lighter weight than you might expect if you have used some of the rubberized outfitter-style dry sacks. Rather than the thick and opaque skin you might expect, it is thin and translucent. I worry a bit about what this means for durability although for occasional weekend warrior duty I expect it to hold up for more than a few years. PVC is notoriously long-lived so I'm probably grossly underestimating durability. I've used it twice now and it does still seem as good as new.

I've used various cheap dry bags and stuff sacks for storage, so I wanted to try a higher quality bag to compare. This Osprey is clearly better made and uses nice materials, and sits between an uncoated nylon ripstop stuff sack and a full PVC dry bag. It's lightweight and flexible, but has a durable water-resistant coating on the fabric and all seams are watertight. It easily rolls down when empty and can be stored as a tube shape without creasing the fabric. There is basically zero smell, which was a pleasant feature! My negatives are the price. It's a nice bag and I'm sure Osprey will stand behind it if it ever rips, but it's just a single-layer bag of coated ripstop fabric that should not cost $34. The color is basically accurate to the photos, but is nowhere near any "orange" - it's a ketchup red color in person.

I opted for the 15L since I wanted to be able to use it as a full size bag when necessary but also didn't want something huge. It also rolls up really tightly like a scroll to be able to easily transport when not in use. Material is solid and will keep water out when closed. I only dropped one star because the color is way redder than what is in the picture for "Mars Orange." If I knew it was going to be red rather than orange probably would have gone for a different color.

Very nice dry bag that is intended for "out-of-bag" use, meaning it's not intended to be used as a stuff sack thrown into another bag. That means the material is thicker and durable. I've used the 15L version for paddle boarding and it has kept everything inside of it bone dry despite getting thoroughly splashed and temporarily dunked. That said, I would not rely on it for any extended immersion based on its design and IPX rating. The durability is yet to be seen, since I would expect this product to hold up well for years with moderate use. I will update this review if it falls short of expectations, but I see no obvious problems with the build or feel of the product. There's no listed weight right now, but my 15L with the strap weighs just about 9 oz (255 grams), which I feel is average. However, dry bag weight is directly linked to it's durability and waterproofing. Since it is intended for "out-of-bag" use, I would not expect this to be able to get much lighter without unreasonably sacrificing durability. Finally, as a general matter, I have used and currently own multiple Osprey products, including a large hiking backpack, day pack, hydration bladder, and stuff stacks. I have had a few minor problems here and there but have always had a good response from customer service when I have run into problems. Figured that is worth mentioning.
