This is really, really great. I toss my straws and other too-small things I worry might get lost in the sink into this bowl. It's great.

The NiHome Multifunctional Ceramic Food Strainer with Integrated Drain Spout stands out in the kitchenware landscape, particularly for its impressive large capacity and functional design. This colander is not just an ordinary kitchen accessory; it combines traditional ceramic aesthetics with modern usability, and the results are wonderful. The built-in drain spout is a game-changer. Its clever design allows you to simply set the colander on the counter, positioning the spout over the sink. This means no awkward tilting and fumbling when trying to drain liquid from your food; instead, you can confidently pour out excess water or broth with ease. The slope of the interior bottom enhances this function further, ensuring that every last drop is drained away. I found this particularly effective when straining hot pastas and vegetables; the modular design lets water flow freely without trapping bits of food, leaving me with perfectly dry ingredients ready for the next cooking step.I would recommend the NiHome Multifunctional Ceramic Food Strainer with Integrated Drain Spout to anyone looking to upgrade their kitchen colander. It's not just a strainer; it's an elegant, practical solution that meets and exceeds expectations.

I got this strainer thinking it would become my favorite strainer. What I found is that the weight of it makes it so I rarely use it. It is an elegant food strainer. It is well-designed and it does drain all of the water out of the bowl. I tried just putting small amounts of water with nothing else in the bowl to see if it would drain all of the water and it did - so the angle for draining is appropriate. One nice thing about it is that if you want to briefly soak or submerge the food you are straining, you can do that. So, if you had beans that you want to pick through and remove the coating that gets on them from being canned while you are rinsing them, this is great for that. I thought it might be good for rice - rinsing the coating off of dried rice but the drain holes are too large and the rice slips through.Good things:Hands-free if you need it to be. Place it on the counter, draining into the sink and you can just pour directly into it.You can more thoroughly rinse things in this since you can partway fill it up with water and swish things around until the water all drains out. - The slower draining makes this useful.Cons:Heavy so it's not easy to handle like a lot of other strainers.Larger holes so you can't strain small things like rice. (I cook Indian food and you need to rinse the rice before you use it.)Neutral - slower draining which can be an asset or a downside depending on your needs.

Drains almost COMPLETELY because of the slanted bottom, but still easily holds everything inside. Great to sit at the edge of your sink and let all of the water drain out. Also great that it's dishwasher safe, so that makes it very easy to clean. It's also pretty large, so it's capable of holding more than I thought at first. I definitely think this was a clever creation, and seems to have multiple uses to make it worth while.

It was larger than I expected or needed, but works great. Due to bigger than expected and how well it works, I will be able to use forore things than what I purchased it for.
