Good portrait photography needs good lighting. But you don't always need 2+ strobes to get a good shot.When paired with a reflector and lighting stand, this arm gives you the opportunity to bounce light back from a softbox, softening the shadows on the other side of the subject's face.The advantage of buying this over a clamp is that you can quickly make adjustments to the reflector - and a small tilt can have a big impact. The arm more than handles the 110cm reflector I own and is quick to set up and pack away, (just) fitting in a standard single light stand bag.Neewer is a Chinese firm that often rebrands products made by others (of variable quality) and sells them at competitive prices. This particular item seems good value and well made.

I bought this reflector holder because I liked the design in the ad photo. But everything looks beautiful only in the photo.In reality, the so-called “all metal head” only holds the arm in the middle position. If you will shift to extreme positions shown in the advertising photo, the arm gradually lowers down. To secure the ball, you have to tighten the clamping screw very tightly. Or find a hex wrench (not included) and clamp the locking screw (not shown in any advertising photos) on the opposite side of the clamping screw. See attached photos.The ball head consists of two halves: the upper one clamps the ball, the lower one fits onto the spigot tripod adapter. These two halves are attached to each other with the same two screws that clamp the ball. This structure dangles and cannot be installed firmly in one position. This definitely won't work for long.Additionally, the screw on the bottom half has a rough cut with sharp edges by that I have already scratched the spigot adapter on my tripod.It has become fashionable to show packaging in advertisements. Well, I will also show the packaging in the form in which I received this product, see the attached photos.My conclusion is this: the product does not worth its 53 euros. I don’t know if I’ll be able to return it back, but I definitely don’t want to buy the same second one.

Well made and holds large refactor discs firmly in position with sufficient height adjustment and smooth ball joint for angling.. Quality above what price suggests. Bag a real bonus as it allows neat storage and is designed for this specific item.

Come da titolo, questa asta di supporto per i pannelli riflettenti si è rivelata una salvezza. Occupandomi prevalentemente di fotografia moda e ritratto e collaborando con diverse make up artist, di solito inizio sempre lo shooting con delle foto beauty da consegnare poi alle make up artist come ringraziamento per il loro lavoro. Normalmente utilizzo uno schema di luci molto semplice composto da una luce flash frontale posta leggermente più alta rispetto al volto del soggetto. Questo però comporta la creazione di una forte ombra sotto il mento che normalmente schiarisco con un pannello riflettente. Questa asta rappresenta un sistema estremamente comodo proprio per sorreggere il pannello consentendo di scegliere diverse inclinazioni utili allo scopo. Prodotto assolutamente consigliato.

Der Preis ist in Ordnung, da ich auch nichts vergleichbares günstigeres gefunden habe.Allerdings darf man sich nichts professionelles verwenden. Ich habe leider beim Fotografieren nicht den gewünschten Effekt bemerkt.

This is totally fab. I can capture the right angle and lock it in place. Has a nice travel bag too and is super easy to assemble.
