We discovered Texpeed by accident searching for a new leather jacket. We were quite skeptical I mean it's an, AAA-rated jacket at a good price. After doing our research and confirming it met the necessary standards, we decided to place an order and we are glad we did.From what we can tell, Texpeed keeps its prices low by doing minimal advertising (despite being in business for over 20 years) and not offering free returns. We paid for this item ourselves, which does make you think about how much of other brands’ marketing budgets get passed on to consumers as I get aksed to review these products a lot. We were very impressed with the quality of the jacket, especially considering it was under £100 for a genuine leather, AAA-rated piece. I own jackets costing over £300 that have more faults than this one.Sizing: My partner has a 50-inch chest, stands 6’3”, and has broad shoulders. According to Texpeed’s size chart, he’s a 4XL. We read a few reviews suggesting the jacket runs small, so we decided to size up and ordered a 5XL.... which was a mistake. Don’t size up! The jacket has two zipper positions: one allows extra room for layers, and the other is a tighter fit. The 5XL’s tighter position is roughly a 52-inch chest, which ended up being too big for him. So trust the size chart, with the dual-zip design, it’s not necessary to size up!Returns Process: I think part of how Texpeed keeps costs down is by asking customers to pay for their own returns. I don’t mind this because it encourages careful size selection I guess. You have 30 days (by law I think) to return items, Texpeed requests within 14 days if possible. We actually re-ordered the 4XL before sending back the 5XL because we didn’t want to wait. It cost us £7.50 to return the 5XL (it weighs around 4kg). We haven’t received our refund yet, but we only just sent it back. The jacket comes with a slip explaining the return process; just make sure to keep the tags on if you’re returning it. Also, if the item is defective, you can return it without incurring shipping costs.Quality: The leather is 100% genuine and smells fantastic straight out of the packaging. It’s a bit stiff to start with, but I expect it to soften over time. The size 4XL jacket weighs about 4kg. It comes with Level 1 armor (including a back protector), but we found that armor to be fairly basic. We immediately swapped the thin back protector for a Level 2 insert from a well-known brand, which fit perfectly without adding bulk (in fact it is smaller). The jacket also includes a removable liner, though it’s quite thin and doesn’t offer much warmth. Realistically, this is a late-spring-to-early-autumn jacket—ideal for summer riding. There’s also an internal phone holder (which fits large phones I can confirm) and a zip pocket inside, though the internal zips are noticeably cheaper than the robust external zippers. The overall finish is good, with only a few rough cuts that could be neater.Overall: For the price, this jacket is phenomenal and can go toe-to-toe with jackets that cost twice as much (or more). I plan to try some items from Texpeed’s women’s range next, and my partner already wants to check out their leather trousers. If I could offer a few suggestions for improvement, they would be:1. Offer Level 2 armor as an optional (paid) upgrade. I’m sure many customers would be happy to pay a bit extra for better armor.2. Improve the internal zips, as they’re noticeably lower quality than the external ones.3. Use a better-quality lining, because the existing removable liner doesn’t provide much warmth.Overall, if you’re looking for an affordable, AAA-rated leather jacket, Texpeed is definitely worth considering.

Jacket arrived a lot quicker than the stated delivery.The jacket looks and feels like a much more expensive jacket. Quality of the leather, zips and stitching are all excellent.I am usually 44"-46" in jackets. I went for XL and it is a good fit with room for a few layers underneath.I was that pleased with the jacket that I ordered some leather jeans to match.
