I’ve always wanted a metal detector, so when I saw this I had to order it for myself. My husband and I love walking the beach and I’ve always thought it would be cool to find things besides sea glass and shells. Once it warms up, I’m hoping to get a lot of use out of it! From finding treasures at the nearby beaches to just finding a lost screw or bolt on the lawn, I see many reasons to get my inner geek on! I love that this folds up into a fairly compact unit. I love how lightweight it is, yet still telescopes out to fit me so I won’t be hunched over using it - well, until I find treasure to dig up! I’ve only tried it in the house as I don’t think it’s snow proof, but I found that it was quite responsive. I’m sure there will be a learning curve with not only figuring out the settings but how to differentiate things. The instructions do seem quite easy to follow, and for someone that’s never used one I’ll be referring to them a lot. I also like that this is rechargeable so I won’t have to be buying batteries constantly. Overall I’m thrilled with it and can’t wait to use it when nicer weather is here!

Okay, I did need to read the manual, but unlike older, much more complex metal detectors, the instructions and user interface on this one are much shorter, straightforward, and easier to master. First thing noticed after opening the box is this comes folded up in small package about one third the size of other detectors I've used. Also, there's no coil wire wrapped around the shaft to get in the way of things. Instead that wire is neatly routed inside the telescoping shaft to keep things tidy. It's slick design feature that, along with the folding control head mount, allows this to quickly fold into such a small package for transport or storage. Then it just as easily unfolds into a full-size detector in a minute with just one thumbscrew*.The detector weighs just 3 pounds without accessories. When assembled for use, the shaft length can be telescoped in or out to accommodate a person of most any height. Length of the shaft is roughly 29 to 50 inches including the arm brace. The shaft length is adjustable after releasing one or both of the shaft quick release lever locks. Flip one or both levers up, telescope shaft in or out, lock levers and done. I'm 6' tall and have room to spare near the longer length. At shorter lengths it can accommodate a youngster.Folded for travel or storage, in the included backpack, it measures just5" x 9" x 17". Note that the arm brace must be removed before the shaft can be telescoped to its shortest for storage. With everything in the backpack, including the little pick/shovel that weighs nearly a pound, total weight is a hair over 4-1/2 pounds. An impressive bit of design engineering! The ground here is frozen until Spring, so searching for real buried treasure will have to wait. Function testing was done with small objects in the house where it's warm. It passed all tests with appropriate beeps, chirps and tones while indicating the "treasures" on the LCD display. For a metal detector that's passing with flying colors.* The thumbscrew that attaches the arm brace is quick acting, needing only 3 turns to secure or remove. Though it looks like it screws into plastic, which would not be so good, it actually screws into a captive metal nut inside the plastic housing - that's good! However, I don't like that the screw is separate and could get lost. If you notice it missing right away, the good news is you probably have a metal detector handy and you can hold the parts together while you search for that screw! Better solution would be to tie a thin cord to the Screw head and secure the other end to the detector shaft.

Da ich meinen Ehering im hohen Gras verloren habe, habe ich als letzte Hoffnung diesen Metalldetektor bestellt. Lieferung war, wie fast immer bei Prime-Artikeln, super schnell und innerhalb eines Tages da.Was soll ich groß schreiben, der Metalldetektor funktioniert einwandfrei und äußerst genau. Selbst kleine Metallteile im hohen Gras können problemlos äußerst genau geortet werden.Vielen Dank für das tolle Produkt, dadurch habe ich meinen Ehering, der mir sehr viel bedeutet, wiederfinden können.

War noch nie sondeln gewesen. Der metalldetektor tut, was er soll, gibt manchmal Fehlmessung an, aber die sind nicht zu vermeiden, wenn man sich den Preis anschaut. Die Funde auf den Bildern sind in 5 Stunden suchen zum Vorschein gekommen. Habe nur am Strand gesucht.

Ha molti falsi contatti, sarà forse alla presenza di minerali nel terreno/sabbia.. però quando rileva qualcosa di importante, il sensore sul display e quello sonoro si accentuano in modo evidente....al primo utilizzo su terreno ho rinvenuto ferro/chiodi...invece al secondo utilizzo sulla spiaggia ho rinvenuto vari Metalli e due monete una da 2 euro ed una da 5 centesimi....tt sommato x il prezzo ke costa a parere mio è buono.

Der Detektor ist prima und Funktioniert einwandfrei, perfekt für Einsteiger.Das einzigste Problem finde ich ist die englische Anleitung und der Spaten der viel zu biegsam ist.Habe Probleme in die Erde zu kommen da er sich da immer verbiegt.

Habe den Detektor jetzt seit 3 Wochen und muss sagen es ist sicher einer der besten für diese Preisklasse ! Viele Einstellungsmöglichkeiten wo man sich erst mal reinlesen muss aber sobald man sich etwas ran getastet hat ein super gerät. Hab schon mehrere kleine Sachen sowie größere Bleche die 15cm in der Erde waren gefunden. Findet meist sogar Sachen in der tiefe von 25-30cm also wirklich eine starke Leistung.

I have never used one of these before so I am no expert and can't compare it to other brands. That said, in my opinion this is a good quality detector. It is light weight, has an adjustable shaft, IP68 waterproof rating, and an advanced DSP chip and 10" coil. It appears to be pretty accurate. It has come in handy for treasure seeking or finding small bolts, nuts or pins I have accidentally dropped in the grass. Makes for a fun hobby. Recommended.
