Compré este producto el pasado mes de diciembre para mi spaniel de 7 años, diagnosticada de Enfermedad de la Válvula mitral en fase B2 en febrero. El diagnóstico fue completamente inesperado, se dio en un chequeo rutinario. Mi pequeña se encuentra en fase preclínica, a día de hoy no presenta síntomas que puedan percibirse a simple vista, como fatiga, intolerancia al ejercicio, tos... pero su corazón ya había aumentado de tamaño por la insuficiencia y tiene un soplo moderado. El veterinario le prescribió Cardisure y yo, después de investigar un poco, decidí cambiar su alimentación de pienso a comida cocinada sin cereales ni legumbres y suplementar con taurina. Todo esto consultado con el veterinario, escéptico principalmente con la suplementación por considerarla innecesaria. En principio opté por un suplemento a base de taurina pura de otra marca y lo ha tomado hasta el pasado diciembre. No noté ningún cambio, pero me pareció normal visto que no presentaba síntomas "visibles", su día a día siguió como hasta entonces, todo igual. Cuando llegó el momento de pedir otro bote di por casualidad con este otro producto y las reseñas me impresionaron, así que decidí probar Maxxicardio. No me pareció barato pero tampoco es que tenga un precio absurdo, y en cuanto a olor, sabor y demás, no puedo decir gran cosa, porque mi pequeña es muy tolerante y lo toma todo con mucha alegría a poco que se lo adornas -lo añado a su comida mañana y noche, repartiendo la dosis diaria en dos tomas. El primer y segundo día que lo tomó no pudimos salir a pasear, hacía muy mal tiempo y aquellos días simplemente salió al patio de casa. El tercer día pudimos salir... y me sorprendió lo mucho que tiraba de la correa, con qué fuerza, cómo olfateaba todo -se pisaba las orejas a sí misma al caminar, algo que hacía años que no le pasaba. No pensé en el suplemento y lo achaqué a los dos días de aburrimiento en casa. Pero ahora todos los paseos son así. Es increíble, como si hubiera vuelto a los tres o cuatro años: no anda, trota; corre, juega, jadea muchísimo menos, los paseos son más largos... Cuesta seguirle el ritmo, como antes. Está llena de vida. Gracias a Maxxicardio he podido comprobar que sí había síntomas, pero los camufló la edad y lo que yo pensaba que era la calma de ir cumpliendo años. Lo mejor de todo es que es seguro a largo plazo, no tiene efectos secundarios, no es incompatible con la medicación, los ingredientes son naturales y seguros... En casa estamos maravilladas de verla tan feliz y llena de energía (que no nerviosismo, excitación ni cambios en su comportamiento). El cambio es impresionante.En la revisión del pasado mes de noviembre la enfermedad estaba estable, sin progresión. Viendo el resto de reseñas y los resultados tan positivos actualizaré tras la próxima revisión, en primavera, pero independientemente de eso, a día de hoy Maxxicardio es imprescindible para nosotras. 100% recomendable.ACTUALIZADO JULIO 2024 La última revisión fue súper positiva, el tamaño y la forma del corazón se van reduciendo progresivamente, no tiene síntomas en el día a día a nivel cardiaco y tampoco a nivel digestivo (mi perrita es delicada de estómago y tras meses tomando el suplemento a diario no hay presentado ninguna molestia, sigue tan comilona como siempre, con apetito y sin problemas de diarreas o vómitos en todo este tiempo). Seguimos con MaxxiCardio y ojalá que sea así por mucho tiempo. Leo en algunas reseñas temas de mal olor, etcétera. Pocos suplementos huelen bien de por sí, esa es la verdad, y tomados por sí solos son cero apetecibles, más bien todo lo contrario. En el caso de mi perrita, como su dieta es comida cocinada, la comida es lo suficientemente apetecible para ella como para que al mezclar el suplemento no le importe y lo tome sin más. En perretes que coman pienso entiendo que no lo tomen con alegría o que lo rechacen, pero se puede salvar perfectamente mezclando con un poco de yogur o plátano machacado, por ejemplo, lo justo para que el animal se anime. Merece la pena probar.

It's absolutely worth it! My dog is almost 11yo, about 12kg, she has some heart issues but so far we weren't recommended to take medications on this problem as she has to take hormones daily. However since we moved to the house with staircase she couldn't get up and down the stairs, she breathed heavily after that and during all day. I couldn't take her for a long walk anymore. I decided to try this supplement and the result was almost immediate! She plays, runs and jumps again, full of energy and I don't need to check her breathing every 2 minutes at night. But I keep giving her almost full scoop (instead of half a scoop) twice a day. I'm ready to give to her as long as needed, even for the rest of her life. Only sometimes it's out of stock, so maybe better to have some jars in advance

This was bought for my 11 year old Chihuahua (Muffin) who was diagnosed with a stage 5 heart murmur (which will result in heart failure within the next 12 months according to my vet). I was told there was nothing I could do to help him, but I wanted to try, so did some research and found this.I started Muffin on this within the same few days he started his heart medication (Vetmedin) from the vets, and after about 4 days of being on both, he was running around again, pulling forwards (instead of lagging behind) on his walks again, and just generally seemed happier and more playful.That being said, it is hard to tell whether that's thanks to the prescription medication from the vets or this product.... either way, I won't be experimenting to find out - I'm going to keep using both as it doesn't harm him to get the extra minerals and vitamins from this product regardless.I would also recommend home cooking your dog's meals if he also has the same condition as my boy - you can alternate between meats (avoid lamb and legumes - these contribute to poor heart conditions) ...you can use lean beef mince or turkey, chicken or pork.. and also boil some sweet potatoes, organic carrots and broccoli.. as well as feeding sardines every single day. A squirt of high quality salmon oil on their meal is also a good idea for heart health.Maybe it is all of these changes combined that have helped transform my dog, so I recommend them all :)!I hope this helps someone else :)UPDATE:It's been 3 months that I've had my old boy on this supplement now, and at his 3 month checkup the vet graded his heart murmur between 4-5! Now I know this condition can't ever reverse or get any better, but, she was surprised how well he is doing! Considering they gave him a maximum of 12 months to live about 4 months ago now, I am nicely surprised too; I assumed it would've progressed by now!Will continue to update my review.. I am now hopeful he can live longer than what he was given :) *fingers crossed*UPDATE #2:It has now been 6 months since Muffin's diagnosis, and he is still doing great :). Haven't taken him back for any more checkups, because really don't see a need to jusy yet. He's still on Vetmedin (prescribed by the vet) as well as 1/4 scoop of this product and a squirt of salmon oil each day. I have 3 other dogs and he runs around and plays with them, albeit not for as long as he used to.. But, there's still plenty of life in him yet :)UPDATE #3: This jar of Maxxi Cardio lasted me 9 months! (using 1/4 of a scoop per day). Took Muffin to the vets last week and she now graded his heart murmer a 3 to 4! However, she may have detected the first signs of fluid in his lungs, but wasn't sure, so she also prescribed a diuretic along with the Vetmedin. I showed her the Maxxi packet and said he's been having this the last 9 months.. In typical vet ways, she td me there was 'no scientific studies to back up the minerals in this product, but it can't do him any harm'. Anyway, I ran out of the Maxxi and Muffin hasn't had any for the past 3 days now.. And he has become really, really bad - sleeps constantly, no energy at all, lagging behind on his walks again, etc. Definitely isn't a side effect of new meds as vet said only side effect was increased urination, and he'd been taking them for several days before the Maxxi ran out with no problems. So I've ordered a second jar of this and will update if I see an improvement next week. If I do, I can then say for sure that this product is what is keeping him well and alive more than anything else he's on. Fingers crossed for my boy.Updated review from 4* to 5*.Well my order arrived several days ago, and Muffin is back to himself again! Playful and more alert. This stuff is definitely the reason he's lived so long when he was given a few months to live last year! It makes all the difference. Worth every penny and hopefully I'll need to buy a new packet in a other 9 months from now!
