I agree with one review, the bottom of the screen strip is very thin and sags, that said this cover makes the controller grippy to hold than without it and that’s a bonus. It would provide protection when you place it on walls and rough surfaces. I don’t think you want to drop it though. Actually looks better black to but that’s a personal opinion really. I prefer to have it than not to.
