The material feels good in the hand and the engraving and painting are good quality. If you want numerals on your tiles, I can highly recommend 👌 the case is flimsy but they all are

I though that these were the "chonky" tiles that you see in the mahjong videos. Sadly, those are 4.4cm long and costs around 130€. But really, these here are good. I have played some games with my kids. From the traditional game, to build some towers, to do some domino-chain-reaction-thing. When I take these out, there are like 3 or 4 hours of doing different games with these, so really a good buy for the price.Just ignore the briefcase. Its super-bad quality. But with some duct tape in the corners it lasts.

Not bad but 1inch size is a bit small, 1.5 inches will be a perfect size

Die Steine sind schön und haben eine tolle haptik. Der Koffer schäbiges Plastik - war direkt beim Öffnen bereits an zwei Stellen kaputt . Ich hätte bei dem Preis eine bessere Verpackung erwartet. Steine lose in ein Säckchen macht keinen Sinn, da dabei evtl. Steine beschädigt werden. Daher habe ich das Spiel zurück geschickt. Da Drittanbieter gab es auch keine Teilerstattung.

The good (things that are above the minimum requirement for the product):- Nice designIt uses the standard two color (green/red/black) Chinese tile design, that makes it easy to read and good to look at.- Vibrant colorsThe green and red really pop out and are easily distinguishable from each other and especially from the black paint.- Good size and weightThough I am not so familiar with a lot of sets (I have a Yellow Mountain Import Riichi Mahjong set), it feels good to hold, pick up, fold or stack tiles.- Deep engravingsThe engravings are deep enough to be noticeable, not just surface level.The bad (things that are below the required minimum for the product, but don't make it unusable):- Very minor paint defectsThe emphasizes is on minor. If you look closely some of the tiles have the paint overflowing from the engraving. But you have to look very closely to notice, so it is not a big issue.There is also some paint on the front edges of a few tiles, but these are very minor spots and most importantly are easy to get off (and will probably come off with regular use).- The suitcase is poor qualityI was expecting this from reading other reviews. Fortunately the suitcase that I got did not have any tears or defects. Still the material of it feels cheap and easy to rip or tear. It is probably not safe to carry the set in the case as it can come apart at any time.- Small scratches on the backsideThough it is not a big issue by itself (the scratches are barely visible), but already having scratches, even though the set is only 2 days old and was handled with care, shows that it was not created form durable material and probably has a short lifespan.The ugly (things that are unacceptable and potentially make the product unusable, no product should have any items in this category):- The wind indicatorIt is not just that the paint is scrubbed off on major parts of the indicator dice, but the dice itself is swollen and it is very hard to get it in or out of the holder. We have to force on it in order to get it in or out of the holder. Though the indicator is a minor, but crucial part of the set.- Misprinted tileOne of the two of characters tile has an Arabic number of two on it, but the Chinese number on it is a three. This makes it at best confusing, but at worst misleading and unusable.- Multiple parts have defects on their back sideThere are one or two parts that have chipped backside edges. There are also multiple parts which have small grey debris IN the transparent plastic covering the green backside of the tiles. This makes some parts identifiable just by looking at their back side, which makes the set unusable. This is the single most nonredeemable part of the set.Conclusion:All in all it would be a great set with its great traditional design, nice feel and bright colors, but the issues with the tainted and chipped backside of some tiles (which make them identifiable just by looking at them from the back) make it unusable. With it already having some scratches makes it not so promising for keeping the set for a long time. I would not recommend it to anyone.

Just need two more people to play the original, in the meantime.. my friend and I swao and slides. Tiles are weighted, Designs are engraved and size is good. Thumbs up.

Wirklich große Mahjong-Steine; sehr schön und gut ausgearbeitet ! Tolle Haptik !Und nebenbei ein sehr netter und freundlicher Händler .

Die Ziegel sind sehr schön gemacht, doch die Würfel sind zerstört und falsch gepresst. Der Koffer wirkt billig und nicht sonderlich stabil. Qualität der Ziegel hoch, des Kofferst Billigstware aus Fernost. Rücksendung wird in den Müll geworfen, darum habe ich es nicht zurück gesandt. Preis viel zu teuer.

Die Steine haben eine sehr hohe Qualität. Sie sind groß und schwer (das ganze Set wiegt fast 6 Kilo). Dadurch fühlen sie sich gut an.Einer der Reservesteine hat einen kleinen, jedoch deutlich sichtbaren, Produktionsfehler auf der Vorderseite, aber das ist jetzt nicht so tragisch.Der Koffer ist extrem billig. Dünne Pappe über die Krokodillederimitat aus billigem, dünnem Plastik geklebt wurde (und innen dann einfach nur Plastikfolie). Das wellt sich außen und ist lose weil es nur an ein paar Stellen angeklebt wurde. An den Seiten sind es vier einzelne Stücke Pappe, die nur durch das aufgeklebte Plastik zusammengehalten werden.Das Mittelstück sieht nur noch oben rechteckig aus. Nach unten steht es auf Beinen. Dadurch bleiben die Steine nicht auf ihrer Seite, sondern schieben sich unter das Mittelstück.Dadurch, dass die Steine so schwer sind (und Pappe/Plastik so dünn) ist der Koffer an zwei Stellen eingerissen. Aktuell hält es noch gerade so (weil Deckel und Seite an verschiedenen Stellen eingerissen sind), aber recht bald werde ich einen neuen Behälter brauchen. Früher oder später wird das wahrscheinlich jedem passieren weil Gewicht der Steine und Stabilität der Verpackung einfach nicht zueinander passen.Auch der Plastikgriff oben ist einfach nur in die Pappe genietet. Bisher funktioniert der tadellos, aber bei jedem Anheben habe ich das Gefühl, dass er eigentlich reißen oder abbrechen müsste.Regeln liegen auch keine bei.Die Bewertung fällt mir schwer weil die Steine selbst top sind (die hätten 5 Sterne), aber mit einer unbrauchbaren Verpackung kann ich für das Gesamtpaket nicht mehr als 3 Sterne geben.

it is a good choice at this price range. it is much smaller than the normal size one but this make it much easier for travel. we took it during one of the trip recently and it works great.
