I got the **Komodo Tortoise Eco Terrain (10 Litre)** for my tortoise enclosure, and I’m extremely impressed with the quality and performance of this substrate. It’s a natural, eco-friendly product that replicates the ideal environment for my tortoise, providing a comfortable and safe surface for burrowing and walking.The texture is perfect – not too dusty, yet firm enough to hold its shape, which helps maintain the enclosure’s structure. It also retains moisture well, which is great for maintaining humidity levels without becoming soggy or moldy. My tortoise seems to love it, and I’ve noticed an improvement in his activity levels since switching to this substrate.What I appreciate most is how easy it is to clean and maintain. It doesn’t clump or break apart easily, making spot cleaning a breeze. The 10-litre bag was enough to cover a significant portion of my enclosure, and a little goes a long way.The only reason I’m not giving it 5 stars is that it’s slightly more expensive compared to other substrates, but the quality and benefits definitely justify the price. If you’re looking for a premium, natural substrate for your tortoise or reptile habitat, this is an excellent choice. Highly recommend!

I used this for my Hermann tortoise. When I first got my baby Hermann, I went to a pet shop that was supposed to specialise in accessories for all reptiles and Tortoise. They even have a stunning shop 'pet' tortoise that is enormous, easily 2-3 foot long.They recommended a type of wood chips as bedding.HUGE MISTAKE AND TOTALLY WRONG!!!My baby tortoise kept trying to eat it, which is very dangerous and I could have ended up loosing my precious new little one.DO NOT EVER USE ANY TYPE OF WOOD CHIP!I quickly had to remove it from the tortoise table and franticallly searched online for a safe alternative.This was highly recommended by many specialist sites, and I now will not trust anything else.My tortoise lives digging about on it and snuggling into it at night.I have also placed a slate tile with smoothed edges in with it so when he climbs into his water bowl the dirt is shaken off his feet (usually people just put a couple of pebbles around the edge of the water bowl for for some reason he hates pebbles).Great product and great price, and arrives next day free with my Amazon prime.
