Die Buchstützen sind mit einer Schutzfolie versehen, die an „Milchglas“ erinnert. Zieht man sie ab, dann sind die Buchstützen transparent, man könnte Sie aber auch mit Folie verwenden, wenn man möchte. Die Buchstützen haben keine scharfen Kanten und stehen schön gerade. Für richtig große Hardcoverbücher sind sie nur bedingt geeignet. Für Taschenbücher perfekt.

Die Buchstützen kamen schnell und gut verpackt bei mir an. Zunächst war ich etwas irritiert, da die Buchstützen noch (sehr gut sitzende) Schutzfolien drüber hatte und daher milchig aussahen. Erst bei genauerer Inspektion habe ich festgestellt, dass es sich um eine Folie handelt, die man vor Verwendung abziehen muss. Darunter kamen dann die transparenten, schönen Buchstützen zum Vorschein. Sie sind genauso wie auf den Produktbildern und machen einen hochwertigen Eindruck. Die Kanten sind alle glatt und auch sonst ist die Verarbeitung gut. Von mir definitiv eine Empfehlung!

I got some of these to hold up some acrylic signs that I have. Their multi functions are great and I love how invisible they are. The acrylic is thick and good quality, and the edges are finished well, so no snags.

These bookends are decent quality and it's an 8-pack, so it's a really good deal overall. They're mid-size though (not quite 5" high, not quite 4" wide, and the base is almost 4" x almost 4"), so really heavy hardcovers can easily knock them down. But for lighter books like paperbacks, they're ideal. They're thicker than metal ones, so they lift books a little bit more, which can be noticeable on a bookshelf if all the books are the same height. They're great for adding extra support in various places on a bookshelf, so when you remove one book, it doesn't start a dominoes topple. The other thing I'll note is that they're covered in a very thin plastic covering which can be removed to reveal very clear acrylic, but that covering can be hard to remove. There are no areas where you can easily grab a hold of it, so I just had to keep scratching at an edge with my thumbnail until finally it lifted up and I could peel it off. I'm pleased – they're not for all my bookshelves but they're perfect for a few of them.
