I purchased these off of recommendations from friends who have had I.S. in the past and swear by their quality. It is a firm boot with a good size foot bed and insulation. My biggest complaint though with these was that the ankle area was so small I had to try these on first with a thin pair of socks and barely got my foot in. I tried with the socks I normally wear for hunting and couldn't do it. I took them to a cobbler who opened them up for me so I could get my foot in, which cost me another $75. I am a size 14 and finding good boots in wide as well are hard unless you want to spend $250+. I use these specifically for deer hunting and they have solid grip, durable, and thick with insulation. They are not a value for the money.

These boots are built like a tank. Can't go wrong with Irish Setter.

Comfortable fit right away. After 15km felt like a part of my feet. No discomfort after wearing for 12 hours. Good ankle support and only slipped a few times on some very slippery rock faces. Blood washed off without leaving too much of a stain. Didn't stand in water but walked through enough to say they are pretty resistant and they were dry each morning when putting the boots back on for the days hunting. All in all a good boot, but has only been used for a 5 day hunt so far, see how it holds up in the mountains next month
