I got this (size XL) for my Golden Retriever who is very anxious, especially if he has to go to the V-E-T. It fits quite well once adjusted, although he tries very hard to get it off. The central strap passes up the forehead between the eyes and it is a little worrying when he's trying to claw it off, that he'll catch his eye with a claw.The mesh material allows him to breath but this design means he can't drink, so this is a muzzle for short durations and not long walks or on hot days when the dog will need a regular drink. That is, unless your pooch is reasonably happy to have it put back on often.There isn't a perfect muzzle that I've found yet but for the occasional injection trip it works pretty well.

My German shepherd had a bad paw injury recently and she wasn't keen on having it treated, so decided to get a muzzle for the future , just in case, fingers crossed it won't be needed but better safe than sorry, this muzzle is ideal for my purpose, it's soft, comfy, a decent thickness of breathable material and appears to be well made and stitched. This sits over my dog's muzzle well and is not tight, so she can pant, the circumference around my dog's nose, just below her eyes is about 29cm. MEASUREMENTS of muzzle are - the muzzle part from tip of nose and along side length - 16.5cm, the inside circumference that will fit around the middle of nose, is about 36cm, the part of the muzzle that sits on top of the nose is about 12cm long from nose tip, the shortest the strap goes down center of head is about 16cm and the longest it extends to is 26cm, the strap that goes around the back of the neck can extent to 49cm and it's shortest length is 29.5cm. Luckily my dog is well behaved and doesn't need to wear a muzzle and this one is fit for our purpose but not sure how it would fair with an aggressive dog. Very pleased with this purchase.
