I have tried several times to add a photo, using the QR code to get the website with instructions. The directions are SO lacking! No way to get the dang thing open. So then I tried to solve it, again using the website. NOPE! The directions are awful! Rip off at $27. Don't waste your money!

i was under the impression that this item was a kit to put together (my bad). it was all assembled so there was really nothing for me to do other then figure out how it "worked". quite honestly, it seems like a foolish idea to put a picture in it, and send or give it to someone and they have to figure out how to work it. why would you do that? doubt that i will ever do anything with it.

This may be my least favourite iDventure product yet. I usually love their work, but this time they have missed the mark. The manufacturing and the provided instructions are solid and without flaw, as with any iDventure puzzle, so I shall not go into depth about them. However, the puzzle itself is rather strange this time. First things first: the idea of solving a puzzle to unlock a nice picture of you and your partner or your friend group is great, but the frame itself is ugly, and I would not want to put it up in my flat afterwards. What is more, it lacks any mechanism to hang it from a nail; you can only stand it on a flat surface. When standing, it is reasonably sturdy, so that part works well, and a mechanism is provided to actually store all the removable parts in the back of the frame so you do not have to remember where the heck you put them if you ever want to reset the puzzle. The puzzle itself consists of two parts: one that is fixed (you just have to examine the frame and figure out what to do) and one that requires a four-digit code. This is a strange design decision. For using this as a custom puzzle (for parties or TTRPGs), I would have preferred to only have the code, since the randomly electronics-themed fixed puzzle would not necessarily fit your theme. For a "just gift it to someone" situation, I would prefer the entire puzzle to be self-contained and not dependent upon a separate clue provided by the gifter. The fixed puzzle is cute, but very simplistic. It should take an adult about thirty seconds to figure out what to do, and then another sixty seconds to actually move all the fiddly tiny wood pieces into position. Now, the code puzzle is where this really falls apart from me. As expected from an iDventure product, you can set a custom four-digit code. However, the number wheels do NOT actually unlock anything. Each number corresponds to a small symbol (square, square with dot, triangle, etc), and knowing the code simply gives you the correct sequence of four symbols, which is then the actual code. Sounds good so far, right? Wrong. Knowing the symbols tells you the position of the four switches that actually open the lock, but each switch has only two positions! In particular, each switch has only two symbols on it, so the solver immediately knows that the other eight symbols cannot be correct — they can narrow it down to two numbers without doing any thinking. That would make it easy enough to guess the code, but you do not even have to go that far: four switches with two positions each gives you sixteen possibilities, and simply trying sixteen combinations will open the box far quicker than figuring out your friend's puzzle. Not only that, but if you try the combinations in the order most people will (going oooo, ooox, ooxo, ooxx, ...), the correct one will be the THIRD one you try (this is not customisable).Overall, this is still a cute gift, but it is too flawed for me to recommend, especially not over the stellar rest of the iDventure puzzles.

This is a clever and interesting way to house a photo. However, I thought it would require me to actually assemble it. I'm disappointed that it arrived almost entirely assembled. But I like it so much that I'm not mad.

Cooles Rätsel, mal was anderes. Wurde ordentlich geknobelt, war aber auch nicht zu schwer, dass es auch in annehmbarer Zeit gelöst werden konnte. Wiederverwendung möglich, sehr cool
