I’ve observed that my little one stays focused on this busy board for long periods. The vivid lights and diverse activities seem to help her learn about shapes and colours. Its compact design makes it easy to take along on outings. The only drawback is that the battery compartment is a bit tricky to open.

I ordered this busy board primarily because I wanted an interactive toy that would help enhance my child's fine motor skills, color recognition, shape recognition, and hand-eye coordination. The various components incorporated into the board encourage children to engage in hands-on learning experiences, making it a wonderful addition to any toddler's playtime activities. Additionally, the board features lights, which require two AAA batteries, adding another layer of fun and excitement as children interact with the different elements.The materials used in constructing this busy board are of excellent quality, featuring sturdy and safe wooden components that ensure durability and longevity. Each piece is designed not only to withstand the rigors of play but also to be safe for young children, although supervision is always recommended during use. While this busy board provides a plethora of entertaining activities, I believe that the age recommendation of 3 years and older is appropriate. This is primarily due to the presence of small magnetic shapes that can pose a choking hazard for children under that age.The Montessori Busy Board is a versatile activity box that offers multiple ways for children to engage, learn, and explore. However, parents and caregivers should be cautious and take note of the recommended age, this may not be suitable for younger kids below 3+yo who may not yet be equipped to play safely with all the components as the magnetic shapes & the key are small which can be a shocking hazard.Overall, this busy board satisfies both educational and entertainment needs, making it a remarkable choice for enhancing the developmental journey of toddlers. This item was selling at £19.99 when I requested it. At the time of writing, it’s unavailable.Positives: Well made, no snags or splinters. Has dovetailed sides. Wide range of stimulating activities, designed to develop curiosity, fine motor skills, hand/eye coordination and cause and effect awareness. Secure battery housing. Colourful, with lots of interactive lights.Negatives: The online description states that this toy is for 1 year old upwards but it isn’t. Some of the detachable parts are small enough to be choking hazards, eg. small keys.I requested this item for a child coming up to her first birthday. Unfortunately, I’d be having to return it if I’d paid for it. The box states that it’s suitable for age 3+ but I’m not sure that some of the activities would hold a 3+ attention. Shape sorter puzzles really aren’t much of a challenge for that age group and it isn’t something that I’d buy for that age range. If this were given to a younger child, it could work very well without some of the smaller pieces, which could be added in as the child grows older. Price wise, I think it’s worth £19.99 because there are lots of challenging activities and the cube is made from good quality materials.

I have a nerospicy 4 year old who is constantly wanting to press every available button under every possible circumstance and its somewhat unbearable. When I saw this I jumped at the opportunity. There are fidget toys, fidgetable toys and then there is this amazing thing. With a fidget spinner, buttons, switches and more he is totally made up. A very happy boy indeed.It is made with ply wood and very robustly made. The lights work and there is no music to annoy you. There are a variety of different lights with changing colours on one of them. There is a lock and key, the key is completely stuck on a chain on the box so wont get lost. The fidget spinner is screwed on. There are 4 shapes that go on with magnets and I susspect that they will get lost really quickly. Hubby is impressed with how well it is built apart from these little bits but the rest of it is so good I really dont mind at all.Blooming marvelous. I am very happy and he even more so.
