This is a decent four-card page binder, but it's by no means the greatest one I've seen. The 'fireproof' cover is somewhat tacky, making it less easy to slide on and off a shelf between other binders or books, etc. It is also slightly floppy, being a little less rigid and sturdy than more usual PU-covered binders I have. As a result, the zip can be a bit awkward at times. It does off decent water resistance, but if immersed, water would certainly get inside it. Any water falling onto the zip will leach through too.I'd get a typical PU-cover binder over this every time, simply in terms of using it as a binder; they're notably cheaper for a start. However, what you're paying for here is its fireproof structure. The SGS TEST:UL94 VTM-0 rating refers to tests in which a sample of the material is held vertically and a spot flame source applied to it. Results might not be so favourable with a binder lying in a raging house fire in contact with flames all around it. And even if it survived, which I doubt, the plastic pages within would almost certainly have got hot enough to at least partially melt and thus glue themselves hideously to the cards within, wrecking them. Therefore, the binder probably offers little really practical fire protection save to protect the cards within if you had cause to be fleeing a fire whilst holding the binder.I have not burnt my house down to fully test this.More a novelty than a really practical thing, but it works fine as a binder and may give paranoid collectors some degree of peace of mind when they've got especially rare cards in it.

With this, I can put a lot of cards about children and even all commemorative tour tickets in it. When the children grow up, you can take them out and show them.

The case has a good solid feel. The exterior is thick and stiffened. In addition to being both fire and water resistant, the case will withstand puncture and pressure damage. The zip is sturdy and well secured. The card holders are held in place by a three ring mechanism. Although the rings are pull apart rather than lever action, they lock firmly in place. The card holder pockets are medium thickness and grade, The pockets will take two cards back to back but it's a snug fit. If you use the case for display purposes this is fine. If you are actively accessing the cards, I would file them singly so as to avoid damaging the pockets.I hope you found this review useful. If you have a question, I always try to respond when Amazon forwards them to me.

This is at first glance just another card binder which will hold 8 cards per page (4 on each side). About the only thing that gives it away a little is that it is physically a bit bigger than most of the other 4 card binders I have. What makes it special is that the cover is made of a special material which is claimed to be fireproof to 2000 degrees, I don't know how I could test this without running the danger of burning my house down so I will take the makers word for this. The water resistant claim is easier to verify and indeed if you run water on the cover it will repel it fine, however don't get the zipper wet as the material the zip is mounted in is definitely not waterproof - or fireproof for that matter I would suggest as it seems to be just a standard type zip. This is also a problem with most TP covered binders who claim to be water resistant, but that is never their main selling point.Inside there is another issue that is a bit disappointing in that the plastic pages/sleeves are just what appear to be your standard clear plastic type you get in any binder. Sure they do the job, but if this folder were ever to be subject to 2000 degrees or even a couple of hundred degrees and ignoring the issue of the zip, these pages would almost certainly melt and become a single gooey mess. I can't even imagine what would happen to any cards stored in such pages in this scenario, but I don't think they could be even vaguely considered mint after such an incident. So we have a binder that is a bit of an enigma, its not fully waterproof, it may have a cover that is fireproof, but the zip and the sleeves aren't so what is the point of it in reality? Well I suppose if it were accidentally thrown on a fire you could rescue it if quick with little damage to the contents, but I wouldn't expect the contents to survive the inferno of a full house fire. Of course it is a bit of a talking point and something that maybe those people who must have 'everything' would want. But personally I think I would just settle for a standard binder and save a bunch of cash to buy some cards to store in it.
