Ordered this for my local cadet sqn for cadets to use on Duke of Edinburgh day walks. The item arrived well packed and folded, with the straps all attached/clipped together.Once unpacked, I was impressed with the size and the options/pouches on the pack. This is an ideal pack for a day walk with compartments for foul weather clothing, food and kit. The straps are well padded, however the waist strap is very short- this would not fit a large child or adult... even at it's fullest extent which is disappointing as this would impact on the stability/comfort of wearing long distance. Price break is decent, with the rucksack being of solid construction (zips have flaps to prevent water ingress etc). Capacity is 80l, so would also be ideal for carry on bag on most airlines. Great item, just drops a star because of the waist strap issue.

Seems a decent rucksack so far. Only tried it on a day hike but soon to put it to it's test with a full day hike plus wild camp. Plenty of space and comfortable. Managed to attach tent to bottom of the bag in the straps comfortably..Unbeatable price. Light to carry. Decent fabric material.

The backpack seems well made and well thought out too. It has lots of pockets, zips, compartments and adjustment straps. It has a reflective strip on the back. If under-filled it can be tightened in, or loosened out if packed with more. The main compartment has a divider in it and there are a number of pockets with easy access from the outside. I packed it with various supplies and weighed it in at just under 8kg, which felt pretty heavy to me (I’m a gal). However, wearing the backpack wasn’t uncomfy at all. The straps are padded at the shoulders and then there are fastenings across the front – one did up above my bust (on guys it would probably just go across the chest) and the other around the waist. This helped with the weight on my back and made it feel easier to carry. It feels good and strong and I really like the design and the look of it. I am very happy with the product.
