I got this to hold my hand forged German mace. and i was not displeased! installation is simple and and it can hold plenty of weight. if you are collector of medieval or renaissance weapons these are great to have for wall mounting>

This sword hanger has a decent weight to it. It was simple to install and looks great.

I would not trust this with anything called a sword! A large dagger at most MAYBE. It is basically a thin piece of plastic about the size of my hand (and I am always called 'monkey hands' by siblings because my hands are small, 5-6 inches with fingers stretched out as wide as I can) and I have several swords that this would not hold (well it will HOLD it, but only because you are basically screwing the hooks into the wall, the back plate of cheap plastic is just for show) and anything I have would look completely dinky on this. I have a mermaid dagger that this might look okay on, but if I do put her on it I would do something to it so it isn't so plain. Overall I think they have like a tiny combat sword (like a LOTR hobbit sword) in their pics, but my huge excalibur would look dumb on this, and the sword I bought for this was an art word that doesn't need much because it has a huge carved blade but yeah I am not putting it on this. This is what you should expect from the dollar store if they decided to do sword backing, and it is exactly that quality. Basically garbage.

I don't have a sword but I used this to add my husbands tactical tomahawk to a memorial wall in my home. It fits perfectly and still allows easy access if there were ever a need. It was very important to me to find something he would have liked for something that was important to him. Can't give it higher praise than that.
