Great! Highly recommend for anyone with mobility issues when it comes to getting in and out of the bathtub. Easy to use. Very sturdy. Doesn't wobble. Lowers to approximately 2" so you can soak in the suds and raises above the edge of the tub to make standing/transferring easier. Mom loves it!!

I bought this for my mother who is 86 and weighs about 120 lbs. She uses a walker to get around the house and has severe arthritis in one knee and both feet and somewhat lesser degree of arthritis in her other joints and hands. She is now able to take a bath again and she can't thank my wife and I enough for getting her this bath chair lift. It fits the tub perfectly (we measured the tub beforehand to make sure based on the numbers provided by the manufacturer) and it works great. My mom doesn't tilt it back as she prefers the back straight so she stops it when it reaches the bottom. She tells me she only has to charge it once per week (Sundays for her). She does keep it turned off except when it is actually moving her up or down. When she is in the tub she can't reach behind her to hang the control on the chair so she just lets it sit in the water next to the chair (as the instructions say you can). Assembly was very easy (the instructions included for assembly are not the best but online on YouTube there is a great demonstration of the assembly).

We have been using this bath lifter for weeks. Works just as it says and it is a terrific help. I have a "textured" bottom on my extra deep tub. While the suction cups don't lock down, I don't need them to. Basically, after a knee injury I needed assistance out of my deep tub. My weight is enough to stabilize the seat ( I am a "real size", a little heavy person, 5'8". I am within the weight limits) It has made a world of difference to me and while I will only need it for a few weeks, I will be keeping it on hand!UPDATE: 10/16/2013 Still working perfectly. I do agree with others that if you have an extra long tub (6 ft or longer), but that being said, it's still better than the "walk in tub" for thousands and thousands of dollars. I will say that my friend who is a plumber says he spends more time taking the walk in tubs back out! You freeze to death waiting for the water to drain back out! Honestly, this lift was a good investment.

We purchased this for someone in our home weighing 230 pounds and were amazed at how flawlessly it works! There was no unusual noise or hesitation in the bath lifter as it lowered and raised the person from the bath. We had wondered if weight would be an issue with using this, but it was not. It was very easy to put together and carry for the woman who had to put it together and into the tub. The remote control charged very quickly, 2 or 3 hours. The bath lifter works best for a short person -- 5'4" or under if you are using it in a regular tub that does not have any extra length. For someone who is short, the legs will be able to stretch out all the way. If you are over 5'4" or so, you might prefer a longer tub. A deeper tub would be nice as well, but ours is standard and filling it about 2/3 to 3/4 full worked pretty well. I would not hesitate to recommend its purchase for those who need it. It also works well for taking a shower. It can be raised to its highest position, a little over 18 inches, and it works well with a handheld shower. We put a hook on the tub wall for hanging the remote. That was easier than reaching behind the chair to grab the remote.
