At this price this hat should last more than a few weeks. The strap ripped off after very minimal use. We are very disappointed with this purchase.

This hat is super adorable, is holing up wonderfully to very rough usage and protects my son's skin. The brim is wide enough to offer good neck protection but not so wide as to be unwiely.The hat has also doubled as a super secret nursing cover. When little man nurses in his carrier, this is way more discreet than a nursing cover for keeping us private. It just looks like he is asleep.I will definitely buy this again when he needs to size up. He is currently 14 months old with a 90th percentile head and the 2t-3t fits fine.

Bought this hat for my 1 year old son. He is wearing size 2T clothes right now and the 2T/3T size fits him perfectly! I love the tan/navy color since the tan is a lighter color and light reflecting on top and the darker navy inside should prevent glare. I was afraid the brim would be small and not cover his neck, but it did a good job and seemed like a wider brim than any other hats I could find at the store (everything about this hat was better than what I found at the stores I visited). It even has an elastic pull around the hat so you can tighten it to your toddlers head. My only complaint is the chin strap. We needed one since he pulls off his hats like crazy! One side of the strap is velcro and it comes off so easily, my son yanked it right off when I tried it on him at home. But as soon as we were actually in the sun all day he kept it on, and in a light breeze it did not come loose. In the end I am thankful the strap can come loose easily since he fell asleep in the stroller and the way his head was laying the strap seemed to be tight around his chin. Before I could adjust him he moved and the strap came loose. I see the need for it but it could be problematic if you want your toddler to keep the hat on. It is hand wash in cold water only which is less convenient but overall I am very happy with this hat! I believe it's the best I could find!
