We use our pop ups all the time when traveling and when at home. On grassy or dirt surfaces we have a number of different pegs we use to keep them in place even when it gets a bit windy, but when we are on paved surfaces in a paddock or on the concrete surround of a pool or on a deck, those pegs can't be used, so we need to shift to using weights.Now, you can carry weights and that's a load to drag around with you. Not just heavy and bulky but difficult to handle. That's what makes these so great. First off, they fold up into a small bundle I can fit into a small duffle bag and stow easily in our trailer, RV or car trunk. Second, and most importantly, fill them with water and they work perfectly to keep our 13x13 pop up in place.The construction is heavy duty and they are easy to handle even when filled with water. The design with velcro straps on one side to wrap around the leg of the pop up keeps the bag in place and the leg on the ground where it needs to me. I like this much better than using a tie down to hold the pop up in place because it also puts a load on the framework of the tent/pop up that these water weights don't.When we're done...we empty the bags and put them away...though I strongly suggest you hang them for a day or two after you get home to allow them to dry out fully before you put them away for a while.
