I got the solid ones for my mountain bike with an SRAM 11 speed GX derailleur because I’m hard on my bike and I had no interest in saving a little weight at the cost of lesser durability. I rode 5 times with the top 12T pulley that replaced a broken pulley, then decided that I liked it enough to get a new bottom pulley that I’ve now ridden with twice. I meant to order a 12T for the bottom but I mistakenly ordered a 14T, but it still fits and works fine (maybe better, as less revolutions means less friction), though there could unintended consequences that I haven’t discovered yet. At 11 g, the 12T was 1 g lighter than the SRAM 12T pulley (missing a tooth) that it replaced. I think that the weight saving comes from the larger steel bearing ID that the included cups allow with the same OD bolt. Long term durability remains to be seen. I had about 8,000 mountain biking miles on the SRAM pulleys that these replaced, so I can’t knock them, just wanted to try something different, and I liked the look of the narrow-wide tooth implementation on these.(Update 4/19/23) I discovered the unintended consequence of having a lower 14T pulley in a 12T cage. When riding in muddy gravel, the reduced clearance between the chain and cage can allow the wrong size gravel to get jammed in the gap. Still fine in in all conditions that one would want to ride in, but might be wiser to stick with a 12T pulley if that’s what’s stock.

Bought these for the bearings. Plastic is flimsy and cheap wouldn’t trust it on my bike.

I ordered these to replace my badly worn ones on my gravel bike. I was not having any luck locating SRAM OEM X-sync ones due to Covid, so I gave these a chance. Honestly, I didn't have high expectations, but I have been pleasantly surprised. I've been using them for several months now and they are holding up well. No real sign of wear and the bearings are still smooth. And this is on my gravel bike which gets a lot of abuse in poor conditions. If I had one thing to do over is that I would order the solid ones rather than the ones with the holes. I thought they looked cool. They look great but on a gravel bike, they do get stuff in the holes. So, next time I will order the solid ones for my gravel bike. I have to recommend them and they do save your money over the OEM. They work just as good or better.
