This hole saw cuts fast and clean and the plugs fall out easily. but I think it is too heavy for a cordless drill

Nos ha llegado esta corona de la marca starret de tipo multiusos ya que otra que teníamos antes de wolfcraft se nos casco después de bastante tiempo de uso.Este tipo de coronas sirven para cortar casi todos los materiales, excepto metales, y hormigón y algunos tipos de cerámicas como porcelanatos etc.. Con lo demás puede sin problemas, llámense ladrillos huecos, losas, plásticos, madera, azulejos finos, etc etc.El corte siempre es adecuado hacerlo, sobre todo en le caso de usar diámetros grandes a la velocidad idonea, en mi caso teniendo en cuenta que son casi 100mm a una velocidad lenta con un taladro con buena reserva de potencia, en mi caso 1200w. Evidentemente hay que hacerlo sin usar la percusión.Nosotros las usamos mucho para hacer taladros en mampostería y van francamente muy bien.Importante!!! el husillo que usa es de 5/8 lo cual lo hace inviable para usar con los husillos habituales para taladrar hormigón o mampostería de tipo sds plus o hexagonal con rosca M16. Si se pueden usar sin problemas los husillos para coronas bimetalicas, cambiando la broca piloto de taladro de metal por una de widia si taladramos mampostería.

Really poor quality, broke with in the first 10 minutes of operation. I have never seen a hole saw tear open before, I purchased the item because of the manufacture, I own many of their other tools which is usually good quality. My guess is they bought these from a Chinese manufacture and then added their name. By the way, I was drilling through 1/4" steel on a press with coolant.

Our house has plaster ceilings. Dulls regular hole saws in minutes. I needed to put in a lot of small recessed lights so I gave this a try. I made over a dozen holes with one of these, and it was still as sharp as ever. Doesn’t tend to catch as much as I was expecting either. This is the sort of quality I expect from Starrett.

These are much better than the old style. The carbide teeth leaves clearance making a much faster cut with a plug that is easy to remove. Used it today.
