The reel looks nice and seems to be solid. I have not had a chance to fish with it yet. Waiting on a St. Croix rod to arrive that I am pairing it with. The retrieve seems nice and smooth though. I have it spooled with 20lb braid and will be using a fluorocarbon leader. I can't wait to take it out for a test run. I will update when I have taken it for a spin (pun intended) and will update then. :)Update: I added a few pictures of the 3000 that I received. I did take it out for a few casts on a St. Croix Bass X rod. No catches mind you. The fish here have gone on vacation for the most part. My first impression is that it is a solid real. It is smooth on the retrieve and feels really good in the hand. As for long term impressions, I am not there yet. I will say this is the first reel that I have purchased that is over the $100 mark. I have typically been fishing the Pflueger President XT, the Kast King Speed Demon Elite spinning reel. Both of these are in the approximate $100 range. While I have said this is good reel, I am not sure that it is that much better than the ones I mentioned above. I guess I will have to give it some more time and use it where I actually catch something. Of course, that might be spring from what I can tell. I am a bank and creek fisherman, and those bodies of water are too cold for me to be wading in this time of the year to really give it the proper test. :)Update: 2/24/2023Well, I have had this reel for a few months now and it has not let me down yet. It still casts great with both fluorocarbon or braid. The drag is still going strong, and I like the way it feels. The retrieve is still top notch. If I had to buy it again I would. The only complaint I have with this and 90% of other reels out there is the lack of being able to buy extra spools from the manufacturer. I like to use both braid and fluorocarbon for different situations. The ability to swap out a spool instead of having to re-spool the reel would be great. Of course, being able to swap for different line strengths would be great too. I just don't trust ordering parts from unknown sources due to potential quality issues.
