Out of the box, these boots are ready for a 13+ hour shift. I sure hope they’re still available for reorder when my new pair wear out. They are very light and made with soft leather. I can’t just say these boots are comfortable. Walking around my house day they were delivered, they felt like I had put on running shoes.

I got these for my son who is in civil air patrol and he said, feels uncomfortable in the heel like any other boot when brand new but breaking them in is no issue just walk around in them for a day or to depending on your foot shape they should feel great, they are really comfortable and have a nice insole and being made by rocky the quality control is fantastic would recommend for any one who need black boots.

These were much better than I expected. They fit well and are almost unbelievably light weight. The only negative is that due to the nature of the material in the upper there is absolutely no ankle support and I got hot spots if I cinched the ankle area too tightly. The sole has not been slippery in wet grass or pavement. The cushion insole keeps my feet comfortable even with my 295 pound frame walking 5-8 miles a shift on patrol.

They've lasted me over a year of wearing them daily. But eventually the boot starts to fall apart. I would definitely recommend them, unless you're a "buy once" person. They get great traction on normal floor and street surfaces, the sole is extremely comfortable, and they keep water from puddles out well. My biggest issues with them, however, it that the eyelets are too small for the paracord shoelaces they come with, and because of that, you can't quickly take them on and off.
