This is an impressive beach blanket. It stores in a colorful storage bag that matches the blanket and has both a carrying handle and a carabiner for ease of transport. There is an outside zipper pocket that holds four stakes separately. To help keep the mat from blowing away, there are pockets on the underside of each corner that you can put some sand/small rocks into, and then secure it further with the 4 stakes. The loops on the corners of the blanket are secure, well sewn and reinforced, they are very thick nylon material (the carrying handle which has a buckle is also made of this material). A quick shake removes all sand and it dries quickly when it gets wet. This beach blanket is compact when rolled and stored. It’s lightweight, easy to grab and go or toss in the trunk of the car. I love that this blanket creates a clean, sand-free space for my family.

Very thin fabric, not what I expected for a picnic mat- I gave it 3 stars only because it meet its purpose on the ground but only using the little stakes that comes with- I would probably only use this on grass- would not recommend for sand or other type of ground. Nice colors and print.

I'm not a big beach person during the summer however we've started traveling to sunny destinations the last few years during the winter for a weekly getaway and one thing that has become very clear is that a beach blanket is needed - especially if your on a resort where maybe there aren't that many beach loungers or they get taken up very fast, it's nice to have something to lay down on the beach (that isn't a towel) so you have something to sit on.The Rhino valley beach blanket came in the purple sunset pattern and upon getting it I was surprised at how heavy it was - it has some good weight to hit but once you take it out of the pouch it's VERY Lightweight. It comes with a very nice zippered pouch that you can put the blanket it and keep it contained, inside the pouch you also get 4 pegs which I thought was a great addition and a carabiner so you can hook it to a beach bag etc.The blanket itself is very large - I would liken it to a queen blanket for your bed, it's very large which is good because it gives a good amount of surface when on the beach to lounge on and multiple people can fit on it. The material used for the blanket reminds me of a the performance fabric you get on leggings - it's sleek so nothing will stick to it like sand and if sand does get onto it then it's easy to remove, on each corner of the blanket are little pockets that you can fill with sand so that it acts like a weight to keep the blanket in place which is another great feature.Another few features of the blanket are: it's Quick Dry which is super important on the beach, it's soft on your skin and is machine washable - sure easy to just stick in the washing machine to clean. It comes in a few fun prints and while it may seem a bit expensive, if you spend a lot of time on the beach or like me travel to a beach destination this is a worthwhile investment to make beach going a lot easier and comfortable.

The colourful storage bag has both a carrying handle and a carabiner for ease of transport. The entire thing weighs 610 grams, so not too hard to throw in with your beach gear. The outside zipper pocket holds four stakes separately.The turtle design is lovely. The blanket is both larger (it's 7'x8' when I look at specifications) and thinner than I anticipated (the consistency of a good-quality bed sheet).I have yet to test the sand-proof claims as it's not quite beach weather yet where I live. But I can say the fabric is soft to the touch, the stitching looks heavy duty and the four sturdy plastic stakes (With reinforced corners) will help prevent the wind from taking it away from you.It was relatively easy to get it back in its bag, although it doesn't look nearly as neat as when it arrived. The listing indicates it is machine washable (woohoo!) but there is no care label on it so I'm not sure if it is dryer safe. Best bet would be to line dry if you have that luxury or use a really low setting if the dryer is your only option.
