I was 53 last year when I started mountain biking with my son-in-law. Realizing that I am no longer in my 20s or 30s, I wanted some good protection from the tree roots and rocks where we ride. I bought a pair of elbow pads from my local bike shop but they were thin and while they were really comfortable to wear, I had doubts about how much protection they really offered so I bought a pair of these elbow pads (and a matching pair of knee pads).I had worn them several times and found them to be comfortable and breathable but as others have pointed out, they run a little on the small size. I ordered XL and they fit very snug on my arms but with a little effort I could get them properly positioned and I decided to keep them rather than exchanging them for a pair of XXL.Yesterday was the first time I truly "tested" them. To make a long (and painful) story short, I crashed and flew off my bike over the handlebars. My first point of contact with the ground was my right elbow, followed immediately by my right shoulder then my helmet. I really had the wind knocked out of me but as I slowly got back to my feet, and checked myself for injuries, I found my right elbow pad had scooted up several inches on my bicep but my elbow was fine. Based on the extent of bruising I have on my shoulder, should blade and ribs this morning, I have no doubt that my right arm would be in cast today if I had not been wearing these pads. I will never mountain bike without them.

Buen producto, su material flexible lo hace muy fácil de transportar en la mochila y al momento de usarlo casi no se siente. Al momento de caer hace bien su función para reducir el impacto.

I've been using these for three weeks now and so far I'm satisfied with them. This is my first time wearing elbow pads while mountain biking so I have no experience with other elbow pads. I measured my arms using the chart on RaceFace's website and ordered a size large based on that. They fit fine. At first I thought they were going to be too small but after wearing them they fit perfectly. They have a nice mesh material on the inside of the elbow to help your elbow bend and also to give some ventilation to your arm - you're definitely going to sweat more because your arm is covered and there really isn't any way around that. I don't notice them while riding until I'm going downhill through a rock / root garden and then they start to slide down my arm due to all the vibration. I may try fitting the velcro a little tighter but I don't want them too tight and I don't mind having to pull them back up here and there. Fortunately, I haven't had a crash to see how protective they are and hopefully I won't need to find out, but they seem like they are good quality. On a side note, I've been using the RaceFace knee pads for two months and they've been great also.UPDATE: I tightened up the velcro strap on the bicep just a touch and that almost eliminated the issue with the pad sliding down during rough descents. At first it felt slightly constricting but once I started sweating it loosened up a bit and was snug without cutting off circulation.

The RF Ambush Elbow Guards are just what I wanted. I had the Dainese Trail Skins, but they have a week closure and I can't get them tight enough. They always slipped down. Not the case for he RF Ambush. They are a bit more bulky and don't breathe very well, but I would rather have the good protection. I would recommend these. A bit tricky on the sizing, however. I'm not a big guy, but I do wear XL shirts. I tried 3 sizes of guards before the mediums did the trick. Check them out.

Einfach zu klobig und schlechter halt an den Armen!!! Das Material ist zwar wie von Race Face bekannt einfach Spitze aber das wars dann leider auch schon! Ich fahre Downhill damit klar da braucht man mehr schutz aber so globig geht garnicht habemich dan für die ION Ellenbogenschützer E-Lite entschieden und bin damit sehr zufrieden.

Vorab der Tragekomfort ist gut, die Protektoren sitzen ziemlich stramm, daher eine Nummer größer wie normal bestellen.Naja bis zum letzten Wochenende habe ich die Protektoren nicht wirklich gebraucht und dann doch.Mich hats auf einem ExpressWay bzw. Verbindungsweg im Bikepark in Whistler/Kanada bei geringer Geschwindigkeit gelegt. War am schauen wo der Traileingang ist und habe dabei nicht so wirklich auf den Untergrund geachtet. Naja Vorderrad weg und ich bin auf die linke Seite gefallen.. Protektor ist verrutscht, obwohl er doch ziemlich eng sitzt. Schürfwunde und Prellung am Ellenbogen.Ich wollte mal einen anderen Protektor austesten, da der genannte einen soliden Eindruck gemacht hat.. im Falle eines Sturzes jedoch enttäuscht.Von mir keine Emfehlung.

Top, Ellbogenprotektoren passen sich perfekt an und sind vom Komfort kaum zu schlagen da kein hartes Plastik verbaut wurde.Die Protektoren werden jeweils oben und unten mit einem Klettverschluss gehalten die aus einem Gummizug bestehen.Definitiv eine Nummer größer bestellen ich habe meine an einer Flasche gedehnt das geht falls sie zu klein sind auch.Optik: sehen sehr schick aus man sieht den Preisunterschied zu 0815 Protektoren sofort
