I needed to add a strap to a straw hat. This one arrived quickly and the instructions were simple and clear. All good but the leather strap is a bit shaggy.

Outstanding product!Would recommend to anyone.Requires a little bit of work but with that in mind, I was able to install strap where it falls behind my ears instead of in front! 😎

I have purchased this 'same' item through Amazon once before - when I needed a strap for my Akubra Sombrero - and at that time I received the genuine article. After daily wearing it recently wore down to the point of breaking - so I reordered the 'same' item. The quality is not even close - and does not even match the photos on the listing - it is clearly a far more cheaply produced version sold at the same price. I would suspect it is not even Australian leather (something that was important to me - as I wanted to keep the 'nationality' of my Akubra intact). Very disappointing to see yet another Amazon bait & switch - Amazon is fast becoming too unreliable to trust when you are looking to purchase something authentic.
