This is something to have around just in case you need it. I haven't thankfully tested it but it seems like it would do the job.I like that it's both a window breaker and seatbelt cutter. And, getting two is nice if you want to give one to your spouse or a friend.The instructions are limited so it would be helpful to read up on how they work because in an emergency you might not be in the right state of mind.

You can't really test a product like these without being in an emergency situation, but I like that these came in a 2 pack to start. Nice if you have more than one car, or if you want one in the front and one in the back. It's nice that it comes with adhesive mounts if you want to stick them somewhere in your car. There aren't that many instructions, so I would recommend toying around with it a bit to get familiar with it. Pretty good for the price I think though

Dieser "Sicherheitshammer" ist kein Hammer, sondern ein "Körner". Bei der Anwendung wird die eine Seite des Stiftes auf die Glasscheibe gedrückt, eine Feder spannt sich dadurch und wenn man weiter drückt, wird ein spitzes Werkzeug ausgelöst, das geschossartig auf die Glasscheibe trifft und sie zum Bersten bringt.An sich kein schlechtes Prinzip, wenn man ein solches Werkzeug in aller Ruhe und mit Überlegung anwendet.Bei einem Notfall, wenn ich im Fahrzeug eingeschlossen bin und evtl. noch Mitfahrer habe, die dieses Prinzip nicht kennen, die in Panik sind, kommt es darauf an, die Funktion und Anwendungsweise eines solchen Rettungsmittels sofort und intuitiv zu erkennen. Das ist bei diesem Gerät nicht der Fall.Es kommt daher bei mir in die Werkzeugkiste, zum Ankörnen vor dem Ansetzen eines Bohrers. Dafür ist es zu gebrauchen.Als Rettungsmittel nehme ich es nicht. Da hole ich mir einen richtigen Hammer, sowas gibt es für solche Fälle nämlich auch.

While this may work to smash windows ( I don’t have a spare window to test that on) but it include a seatbelt cutter on the opposite end that is very small. My big concern is how hard it would be in a panic situation to remove end caps to access the tools. The end caps need more grip, much too slippery even with dry and steady hands.

Likes:- I received two tools inside of the package which I can keep the second tool in my other vehicle- they are compact in size and look discrete when not in use- the body of the tool is made of very durable plastic or aluminum material- seatbelt cutter blade looks very sharp but has a safety guide to prevent accidental cuts on my hand- comes with two adhesive mounts to stick to my console- window breaker tip produces a lot of force, I tested it on my computer desk and it created a small dimple in the surfaceDislikes:- instructions are limited on the package and failed to mention that the window breaker tip is spring loaded and hidden inside the device so I thought both units were defective or I got mislead in the product description- window breaker requires a lot of pressure before the strike pin will deploy
