Sehr gutes Produkt

Super Teil mit hohem Abtrag, guter Staubabsaugung. Nur der Anschluss für einen externen Sauger ist ein Problem. Hab dazu keinen passenden Adapter gefunden. Scheint kein Standard zu sein. Da der Staubfangbeutl aber sehr gut funktioniert, dennoch 5 Sterne.

Hab die Maschine schlussendlich woanders bestellt. Dort war sie günstiger und mit (!) Koffer verfügbar.Zum Produkt an sich:- Sehr schwer, jedoch kein zusätzlicher Druck nötig. Trockene Eiche wird wie Schnee geschliffen. Ein Papier wird locker 12-48h Betriebszeit durchhalten.- einfacher Wechsel der Schleifpapiere- zusätzlicher Standpunkt enthalten. Diesen werde ich mir selbst bauen.

Das Gerät ist in Oke, bis auf ein lautes Geräusch das beim Betrieb aus dem inneren des Gerätes auftritt.

I've had mine a year now. It has spent a lot of that year in a bag as I don't have a regular need for it but when I have wanted it, it has done everything I needed and then some.I originally bought it to sand a floor. The floor dated to the 1930s and looked like it could be a nice floor, but part of it was covered with some kind of lacquer and part of it was faded thanks to 90-odd years of sunlight. The lacquer gummed up the sanding belts alarmingly fast but after scraping the worst of it away with a hand scraper the belt sander came into its own. Although the floorboards weren't quite level the sander did a fine job of stripping away the stain and the faded exterior of the wood, revealing a glorious golden color underneath.It's a bit tricky to get right into the corners but for my purposes that wasn't an issue because I was sanding the floor before putting baseboards into place. I'd be a little cautious getting right into the corners if those corners were finished baseboards.The next major thing I did with it was to strip and refinish a couple of cabinets. The first was a small bedside unit, the second was a large unit that I salvaged and that had been in a shed for decades. The bedside unit was pretty easy, it was just about stripping badly scratched finishes back to the bare wood so I could restain and lacquer it. The large unit took a while, as with the floor the paint gummed up the belts, but once the sander got going it ripped through the job easily.If you take the bag off the back you can attach a shop vac hose in its place, which means you get less sawdust around whatever you're doing. Just be aware of the total current - I used sockets on different circuits to make sure I didn't overload anything.Changing belts is about as easy as you could ask for. Emptying the sawdust bag is easy. The thing is reasonably quiet but if you're using it for any length of time, especially if you're running it with a shop vac, you'll want earplugs.The weight distribution is good - I've found I can operate it one-handed and it shows no sign of trying to tip one way or the other. Before choosing this product I looked at a few others that didn't feel well balanced at all. You can also turn it upside down and use it as a static sander, moving a smaller workpiece over the belt. It's surprisingly stable.It looks like replacing the brushes in the motor should be pretty easy. I haven't needed to do it yet but it seems like it's been designed to be easy to work with.It does get warm if you run it for an extended period. I guess most things with motors do that.

Für ein größeres Projekt habe ich einen ordentlichen Bandschleifer gesucht. Bisher war ich Bandschleifern gegenüber eher abgeneigt, wegen der mangelnde Ergonomie, der Sauerei und weil sich die Bänder so schnell zugesetzt haben.Für den Makita 9404 habe ich mich entschieden, weil ich bisher sehr gute Erfahrungen mit dem Werkzeug von Makita gemacht habe und weil ich davon ausgegangen bin, dass sich ein großer Bandschleifer leichter führen lässt.Was definitiv die richtige Entscheidung war. Durch die breite Auflage und das schwere Gehäuse verkantet er sich nicht, lässt sich leicht führen und es wird einfach plane Flächen zu schleifen. Der Abtrag ist enorm und die Führung des Schleifbandes lässt sich so einstellen, dass man bis in die Ecken arbeiten kann. Mit den richtigen Schleifbändern erreicht man eine sehr gute Oberflächenqualität und hat danach viel weniger Arbeit für das Finish (z.B. mit einem Schwingschleifer). Die eingebaute Absaugung funktioniert sehr gut und das Schleifband setzt sich nicht zu. Allerdings sollte man mit einem angeschlossenen Staubsauger arbeiten. Der Staubfangbeutel ist zwar gut, aber selbst mit einer 120'er Körnung ist er schnell voll und mit einem Staubsauger kann man fast staubfrei arbeiten.Weil ich in anderen Bewertungen gelesen habe, dass der Keilriemen so schnell reißt und sich der Bandschleifer bockig verhält: Nicht aufdrücken!!! Das Eigengewicht des Bandschleifers ist vollkommen ausreichend und es geht nicht schneller, wenn man Maschine, Schleifband und Werkstück quält, im Gegenteil.

This thing rules. I am a flooring installer and was using the model down from this until it was recently stolen. I figured for 50 bucks more I would try the 8.8A sander and it was worth it. You can put some serious pressure on and it will hardly slow down and Ive never had it stop or slip. The 4" wide belt also helps make sure it stays level since you have such a large base. Dust collection works well as long as you empty the bag often otherwise the mechanism will get full and have to be cleaned out before it will collect properly again. Has a fairly long cord on it and a sturdy, heavy build. Seems like it will last a long time.

very powerful, the variable speed let you use it for metal work or more delicate woodworking. The flap top let you use it upside down just like a belt sander without the need for a jig. I do put down an anti slip mat and voila you set, of course you cannot put as much pressure but you can get the job done with one tool and no setup. overall the machine seem robust and the belt are very easy and quick to change. the power cord is long enough for bench work, I plug in the vacuum ( you need a reducer) and the dust collection is fair.
