This paddle is very nice. Good weight and counter balance to it. Perfect size and great, far better than the one that came with our paddle board. Great quality, this will outlast my paddle board!

I'm sure there's better paddles on the market for the person who wants the very best but for someone who is a casual paddler this is a nice upgrade from the much heavier paddle that came with my inflatable SUP. I picked a lesser known brand of SUP because I wanted a lighter one so I could back pack to some of the not so easy to access ponds around me. When I have everything bundled up the weight is noticeable. So saving a little bit of weight is a good thing. Where it really pays off is after an hour of paddling. A heavy paddle takes it's toll. The paddle is easy to set up. It says it's 3 pieces but in reality it's really 2 pieces. The upper part is two pieces because it's adjustable. You will almost never take it apart. You'll just collapse it as short as possible. I believe Ledonne makes a '4' piece paddle that might be shorter when taken apart if needed. The joint feels plenty strong. I think if I was racing and using all my might I would probably get something more stout. But for the average person who's looking for a paddle that's not going to break the bank but is a bit more than the most basic paddle this is a good option.

I have an inflatable SUP that I've used for the last 10 years. Only take it out a couple times a year. I already have two other SUP paddles but only one of them is carbon fiber so I wanted to have a second carbon fiber back up.I think this is a decent paddle. Having the carbon fiber shaft is definitely nice. But the paddle fin itself is fiberglass in polypropylene. That's great for durability, especially if you're paddling where there's rocks. But based on physics and how levers work, that's the most important place to cut weight. I like that the two ends are sealed in the shaft to help them stay buoyant and prevent water from getting inside.I think this is an improvement from a budget SUP paddle but I'm kind of spoiled and my other Carbon SUP paddle is all carbon fiber even the blade and its to much lighter but it's also three times it's expensive.I think a big plus with this paddle because it's three-piece design so it can get really compact. Which would work well with an inflatable and fit in the backpack. So the first joint has a clamp mechanism and I think it's strong with lots of adjustability. The other joint is just a tube inside a tube fit with a little pin. I think that one is not as good. There's a little play when you torque the the shaft. The other thing is the shaft is very thin, which makes it super light. But if you're big like me, 6'2" 230pounds athletic I have concerns about the durability taking my full to force. However, I have a lot of years of ocean paddling and generate a lot of force. So I think this paddle for the mid to the novice and average size person the paddle shaft should be robust enough.

I got this to replace another heavier, lower-quality paddle. It's nice and light, the paddle is just a bit narrower than my old one, but this one feels sturdier, and best of all - it floats! I have multiple boards and go out with friends during the summer - some of them are new / newer to paddle boarding and don't have their own equipment so I let them borrow mine on our trips. It's always nice to have decent equipment when you're learning!

This carbon shaft is very stiff and sturdy. I have a fiberglass paddle (that was more expensive) and this paddle is a significant step up. This is a solidly constructed paddle that isn't losing energy with unnecessary wiggles. It snaps together tightly. I wasn't expecting much based on the price (55 at the time of this review), but it's far exceeded my expectations. As an extra bonus, it's also a very good looking paddle. The real test will be the test of time. But it certainly passes the first impressions stage with flying colors. As I said, it's way nicer than I was expecting given the very budget price (for a carbon shaft).
