This is the replacement unit that you need to replace in your Karcher power washer if it is 'pulsing'.This is a common problem with Karcher power washers and you can see step by step videos on youtube on how to strip down your Karcher and how and why to replace the cylinder head unit. (Just google 'pulsing Karcher'). Basically, the cylinder head unit consists of a bunch of small plastic components, springs, seals and the housing, which comes in one pre-assembled unit which is secured by three heavy duty Allen bolts. Takes about an hour to strip down, replace the unit and reassemble - no big deal if you can wield a spanner, screwdriver, Allen key and torx driver to pull it apart and put it back together again. (Do watch the video first!).There are scores of different models of Karcher power washers which work on the same basic principle, so you need to make sure that you order the correct unit for your model. You'll have to find that out on internet - no good contacting Karcher - I contacted them not to ask technical advice, which they won't give to customers (who Karcher presumably deem to be universally incompetent), but they won't even confirm if the part number is the correct one for your model. When pressed, they did offer to e-mail me a diagram of all the parts with their numbers, but I'm still waiting. 'Helpline? I don't think so, but no worries - in spite of Karcher's unhelpful response, the part was soon fitted and the power washer is performing like new again. I've jet-washed a large patio at the rear of the house and a wide front drive all consisting of 3' x 2' slabs. The moral of the story is: Don't store your Karcher in a garden shed in winter - I suspect that's what caused the problem in mine - you can't completely drain the washer, so the water may freeze and crack the seals or plastic components. Not worth stripping the old one down as I did - couldn't see any obvious problem with mine - hardly worth the effort when it seems a keen price for this replacement unit, assembled of many precision moulded parts, springs and seals, which arrived in 48 hrs.Hope that may help someone.
