IMPALA Skate - Rollschuhe Samira

So I'm gonna try and make this easy but as detailed as possible for every type of skater. As a beginner, I'll be favoring you guys but for people who just wanna know keynotes FOLLOW THE BOLD.❤️Table of Contents:About MeImpala Samira - Wild PinkComparison - Samira vs Riedell vs ImpalaOverall thoughts❤️*. °. *About me:*. °. *I've been staking on and off since 2020. Mostly in a rink and on my FLAT Riedell skates. I had fun but after about 10-15 minutes I would experience ARCHE PAIN and would have to take a decently sized break before I got back up to repeat the process. I thought this was due to my lack of muscle or not being used to the skates but the Impala Samiras proved me very wrong.Also to note, I wear a size WOMEN'S 10 SHOE and I have WIDE FEET. I have SIZE 9 Riedells and SIZE 11 Samiras.❤️Impala Samira - Wild PinkThis skate is AMAZING!Here's the PROS and CONS:❤️*. °. *PROS:*. °. *❤️*. °WHEELS*. ° - Great for TRECKING or TRAIL SKATING. They're soft and wide making it pretty smooth over bumps, cracks and small pepples RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX.WHEELS SIDENOTE!! Though these are great for right of the box wheels I know I will be doing a lot of outdoor skating so I will be replacing them for an even bigger and softer Atom Pulse Wheels 65mm x 78a diameter. This is my preference because of where I'll be skating but you should find the wheels for the surface you'll be skating on most!❤️*. °TOUGUE & ANKLE:*. ° The TOUGUE has this MESH CUSHION that is super BREATHABLE but also SECURE. The ANKLE CUSHION also provides a lot of COMFORT while feeling SECURE. I will say though, having started with Flat Riedells with no ankle support it was weird to have them so snug on there but it was still comfy nevertheless.❤️*. °BOOT:*. ° The vegan leather is super SOFT TO THE TOUCH but very FIRM. You'll definitely have a LOT OF SUPPORT in these boots and it will take some time to WEAR THEM IN. Also, NO ARCH PAIN!! I was is so much shock that after 5 hours of OUTDOOR SKATING my arches felt totally fine! The heel on bootcut skates WILL HELP WITH ARCHE SUPPORT.❤️*. °TOE STOP:*. ° The adjustable toe stop is SOLID and SMOOTH. I've only every dealt with adjustable toe stops so the other Impala's where a little bit of deal breaker for me with the bolt on toe stop. The CUSTOMISATION of these toe stops are great for different heights for different needs.❤️*. °CONS:*. °❤️*. °ONE BUSTED LACE LOCK*. °Guess I just got unlucky but my lace lock on one of my boots was not sown properly straight out of the box. I'm not really sure if I'll use them but it would have been nice if they weren't already kinda ganky since these were otherwise brand new. For the price point I find this kinda silly.❤️*. °TOE BOX:*. ° Having done my research on Impala for years I knew they had a NARROW TOE BOX and with my WIDE FEET, especially my right foot (widest foot), I knew this was going to be a little bit of an issue. So I SIZED UP to an 11 from my regular size 10 street shoe and man was I glad I did because there's no way I could have skated in a 10. Even sizing up I STILL FELT TOE BOX PRESSURE, enough for me to be sore the first day of OUTDOOR SKATING (basketball/asphalt). So day 2, I LACED MY SKATES FOR WIDE FEET and after a few different mixed styles I finally found the LACE PATTERN FOR ME. You can see in my photos I SKIP AN EYELET in the toe box to allow for more room but go back to a regular style lace pattern for support on my heel and ankle. THIS WORKED FOR ME and after another 3-4 hours I felt like I could keep going because of pressure on my toe box was already wearing away. I definitely suggest finding the LACE PATTERN FOR YOU because every foot is different. You may need to even lace your lefts different from your rights.❤️*. °LACES:*. ° Put simply, the LACES ARE TOO SHORT. You can get the tinest bow out of them but I don't feel great about it. Even after re-lacing for wide feet I got a LITTLE extra lace but still not enough. I would definitely RECOMMEND REPLACING THE LACES.❤️*. °PLATES*. °: SOLID PLATE but my LEFT BOOT plate was mounted A TINY BIT CROOKED. What does this mean? I have to work a little bit harder to turn right on that boot. I only noticed this because I was softening my trecks so it's not the biggest deal because it's just a tiny bit off but still worth mentioning. I didn't have this issue with my Riedells but MY BESTIE happens to have it in her Impala LEFT BOOT AS WELL. Easy way to test this is to set your boot on a flat surface and roll it forward. If it rolls any other way other than straight, your plates are probably off.❤️*. °. *COMPARISON*. °. *❤️*. °Impala Samira vs Riedell*. °If you don't care about ARCH SUPPORT I would get either one of these skates. They're both a 10/10! The Samira's, even with a narrow toe box, are the most comfortable boot skates I've ever put on. Better than any rental for sure! The Riedell's, they're basically like wearing fluffy but heavy clouds, or FILA Disruptors! The only sad part is that if you need arch support, you will need to get INSOLES. I was so mad that after all these years I was randomly watching skating vids on YouTube and Queer Girl Straight Skates randomly mentioned that as a general fact, FLAT SKATES LACK ARCH SUPPORT. How did I do all that research 4 years ago and never find that out until now? I have no idea. Anyways, both are great!The facts you'd need to consider between these skates: Speed Skating vs. Dance Skating, Arche Support and Ankle Support.❤️*. °Impala Samira vs. Impala*. °Hands down, the Samira's are just an upgraded version of the Original Impala skate. The Teal skates in my photo are my Besties and when she got to hold and play with my skates she was high key jealous her skates didn't have my upgrades. A huge one being the WHEELS. The Originals come with a 58mm x 82a wheel and the Samira's come with a 62mm x 82a wheel. This width upgrade may not seem like a lot but let me tell you, her boots are scuffed for a reason. She had WAY harder of a time on the basketball court and asphalt then I did. On our way home pepples kept her falling over while I waited at the end of the path for her. She has had her skates as long as I've had my Riedell's but has used them MUCH less. Luckily for her, she doesn't have wide feet like myself so she can't comment on the toe box situation but the overall difference between having MORE PADDING, BIGGER WHEELS AND NICER BOOT MATERIAL left her hoping they'll make a pair of Samira's in their Forest Green color for her to purchase after she destroys these Teal's from practicing. Especially because she's also not a fan of the Original Bolt on TOE STOP. She has constantly complained about how she feels like they're slippery while the Samira's feel SOLID and very similar to the standard Riedell toe stop which I liked as well.In the end, Original Impala Skates are a total flop when next to the Samira Skates. They only one up they got on us is color options, but like my bestie, I hope we'll see more color options for Samira's in the future. I stay winning because pink happens to be my favorite color so I love these but I want my bestie to get the Green of her dreams!❤️*. °. *Overall Thoughts: *. °. *I love these skates and if you can choice these over Original Impala Skates I would! I can't see myself getting Originals when these were $58 bucks on sale and 1000 times better. Now if the competition was a different brand like Riedell, I would do my research and see what I really want out of those skates. This is mostly because apart from the arch support issue I loved those skates as well, and while I love these skates, the toe box NEEDS to be broken into. Definitely up to preference after that but Samira's will be my only options for Impala skates as of this moment without an even higher tier skate being an option. So if you love Impala Skates, or if you want a quality beginner bootcut skate, look no further! You found her! Miss Samira~!

I love to skate and was very excited to find these skates. The wheels are soft and quiet. The boot itself is just ok. It’s not particularly comfortable or durable. But overall, a decent product.

Love the color and the suede boot. Wheels are great! I got an 8 as I normally wear in shoes and they were too snug. I ordered another and got a 9 and they fit perfect. The skate box says it comes with a tool, but I didn’t see one in either of my orders.
