Here's an update. I exchanged the first one via Amazon and their seller and was sent a replacement same model. I made 3 pizzas for friends this past Friday night. I was extra careful not to let it in the 800 degree oven for too l long. It too ended the night with some discoloration but not as bad as the first one. I'm tired of this so as long as it stays structurally sound I will ignore the discoloring but would suggest that any prospective buyers consider GI's stainless steel peel I now wish I had. My experience with GI's stainless steel turning peel is excellent.First purchase review: I used it once very fast and the peel the part that holds the pizza has already discolored some. I had the other one with the slots but the problems is the wet dough sticks and drops into the holes so I decided to get this one from the same company, GI Metal . I just don't think it should discolor from moving in and taking out 1 pizza. I also have the 9" turning peel from GI and have used many times and still looks new so be careful or check with Amazon first before you consider this peel. I'm hoping the company that sold it to me will reach out and explain. I buy a lot from Amazon and rarely have issues with any of my purchases.
